  1. I have two kong helmets imo they are the best availible. Very comfty but i do get hot they have a 4 point harness i think get the chipper muffs tho normal ones are crap near the chipper.
  2. The problem is there are more have a go tree companies now than ever taking their little bit of the pie but most fade away leaving only a small few who establish.
  3. Nice fell right between the trees. The pole saw up there is a new turn i dont normally use it for up in a tree although i see its use is handy.
  4. When you hit a lump of metal with ya 066 and get the lad to sharpen it haha.
  5. Its is TPO and consent was granted for 30% reduction. How ever i was asked to investigate the trunk for any evidence of fungus in which case they would grant permission to fell. I did not find any fungus but came across the ring bark section which has killed 50% of this multistem. And what looked like one of the tree roots wrapped around the base cutting off the cambium. If i get the job i will post the pics for all to see.
  6. Hi guys just been to look at a fairly big tree was asked to inspect for the usual fungus the three dees. The poor thing has a 3 inch wide all the way around gash looks like a clean cut maybe saw also a copper pipe hammered into it. Any way its a multi stemmer and this ring barked stem has all but died. I see no evidence of fungus from a brief look as the ring barking i thought is the cause. Its in a piss poor place with the trunk under 10inches of a stream also concreted around the base. The remaining stems have lots of deadwood on them And there are old large size stems removed with lots of wood lice and rot. Plus its covered in ivy. what would your suggestions be as i dont want to make the decision i have requested a tree surveyor makes the final say so its an unbios decision
  7. Not a crane job cut and chuck. I cant justifie the cost of the grcs lovely bit of kit but the price limits it to only the big companies. I was thinking a dead sling and isc pulley medium with 16mm esterlon and a really fat git holding the other end lol. I wanna be able to handel tonne lumps but i will only lower 500kgs per hit to make the gear last longer. Just an idea of what you guys use or recommend for this weight.
  8. Hi guys got a chunky monkey of a job soon and think my rigging gear is needing some replacing. What set ups are you guys using im talking heavy duty gear. Any ideas on the latest would be nice.
