    Well done mate. Nice one!!!
  5. Don't be so cynical. My Russian friend is coming over to see me. I sent her £500 and as soon as her Grandma is better she'll be on the first plane over. Don't be so negative you lot!!!
  6. Wake up to find that Blackburn Rovers have won the Premier League, the sun is shining, Lottery numbers have come up and the Kebab shop and my local decide that they want to give me un'limited free lager and 'babs. I think it could happen....
  7. You want something nice and simple like doing ironing. I can remember doing work for a mother and daughter that just did ironing all day, they had an iron each and watched telly all day!! Perfect job! You don't have to be skilled and although you don't charge the earth, there will always be a few lazy blighters that can't be bothered to do it themselves!!!
  8. I think that you two are telling porkies!!!:001_tongue:
  9. Was this the guy that built a house in the woods and had to knock it down when he left his job?
  10. I'm going with a snake.

Just take it slow mate. You'll be fine, remember everything that you've already been taught and think before you do things. Good luck Joe:001_smile:
  12. Nice one. Cheers guys, I wasn't going to use it without a stopper knot and I need to get a few bits from Jonesie so I'll add it onto the list. Just the sort of advice I was after. Cheers!!
  13. Am I right in thinking that the rubber rings attach to the metal loop that they are zip tied to in the pic?
  14. Cheers Rupe. That was my thinking too!! I'll better give the LOLER man a ring and see what he says!!
  15. I think that your's is one of the newer ones mate.
  16. Looking for a bit of advice really. One of my mates has given me an ART postioner. To cut a long story short, his boss sold it to him, he never used and and therefore sold it to me. My question is this. I believe that its a 2004 model and it still has the small rubber rings on a zip tie attached to the ring. They have perished where they've not been used for a long time. Do I need these to operate it? I've set it up and had a play with it on the ground, and it works just like a Lockjack. I obviously want a bit of clarification before I take it to dangerous heights. The rubber rings are (as far as I can work out) only there to aid the cam locking onto the rope. If I'm putting weight into the system, do I need to get some more rubbers ( Behave!! ) or will it still be useable and pass a LOLER?? I can stick some pics up if it will help anyone, but I was hoping there would be a few guys on here that have and use one of these and could give me a bit of advice. Cheers for reading. 17. Excellant video. That bloke has unbelievable skill and balance. Absolute class!!!
  18. I think you'll find that it's impossible to impress a girl in a land rover.... :001_tongue:
  19. Congrats mate. Brilliant news. Well done!!! Give the lad 4 years then get him on the Stumpgrinder!!!!
  20. You'll find it easier with boots without a heel as they lock the rope better. Some of the best advice was to put up in another thread on here. Dig around and you'll find loads of stuff:thumbup1:
  21. So do you climb as you would with a VT or traditional Blake's?
