  1. Saw this on the BBC news science page: BBC News - Emerald ash borer beetle on the march across Europe
  2. He only had half a dozen euc rings in there!
  3. Hi JB Try Sperry springs in Aldershot. Part of FRM truck parts. Al
  4. Hi Al I know Ken, I'll pm you his mobile number mate. I've got Sarron coming in to help me soon as got busy. Cheers... Al (another one )
  5. I use a still combi km130 with long reach hedge trimmer and 1m fibreglass extension poke in the middle. Much lighter than the pole saw a day only about 2ft difference in length. I wrecked some polesaws as well using the hedge trimmer on the end, snapping the splined drive shaft inside.
  6. Why is it only valid for three months:confused:
  7. Not necessarily Paul. Many moons ago I got caught on my right leg from kick back. I was up an oak Tree crown reducing it. One of the lower branches forked, as I stood on the lower fork and reached out to cut the end, the fork split and was tearing back. I reached under to cut it off quickly and caught the tip of the bar, top quarter iniating kickback. By the time the kevlar had gone from the top of the bar to the sprocket to jam it up, the saw had already cut through my type c's, into my leg and thigh muscle almost to the bone. The speed the saw moves on kickback is amazingly fast, and not something I want to repeat. Al.
  8. I think Silky meant have you got a teufelberger pulley saver. If so Honey Brothers do the different components as I'm sure other suppliers do as well.
  9. 7.5t is your max gross weight full of chips or whatever. In the morning you will be 2-3 ton lighter! More than 7.5t and you are overloaded. GTW is the vehicle (7.5t) plus trailer. So the trailer can only be max 750kg.
  10. Nope. 50 60 60. Over 7.5t would be 40 50 60
  11. Someone's been on the funny juice....
  12. Yeah, wait until Senior Management has gone shopping and then wash them! Who paid for the washing machine?
  13. Oak tree reduction from today. Didn't get a before picture, only a during and after.
  14. I find with the smaller hedges I am competing with gardeners who can manage them. They charge £15 / hr and I charge double that at least per bloke, so kit likely to win them. A 1.8m high hedge is within the capabilities of most gardeners I would have thought?
  15. Saw this whilst walking my sisters dog: .
  16. Saw this Pine the other day. It is around 70 feet high and leans at about 20 degrees. Looks like some buckling going on at the base?
  17. Are the front bearings on a Danequip grinder man enough for a multitip wheel? I take it we are talking about the hexagon like wheel fitted to predators with the teeth held on by a single bolt through the front? I'll see what Kim reckons tomorrow. Al.
  18. I have 25 hp Danequip grinder with original cutter wheel and standard finger teeth. What cutter wheel and teeth setup do others use? Cheers.... Al
  19. I've had a set of these telescopic ramps for about 10 years now. I have a Danequip grinder and can get it into the back of my 7.5t truck with these. Becareful that you don't drop a tree on them though as they don't telecope in/out very well afterwards:blushing: Telescopic Channel Ramps - Telescopic Ramps - Ramps - OTS Ltd
