  1. Well done mate, it IS a great job! I did a spell at a company called Durston Woodlands between Taunton and Bridgy when I started..... 25 years on and I still get a buzz out of the climbing:thumbup::thumbup:
  2. My groundie has to go to a funeral, so need someone to cover for the day. Job is in West Clandon, Surrey, or could meet at the yard in Lightwater area. Call me if interested 07841 143536.
  3. I haven't ever paid for a map for a tree application. I either print something off the LA website if they have an interactive map, use the Surrey CC interactive map for Surrey (obviously!) and it also goes as far as SW london, or do a freehand drawing and scan it onto the computer. Never had an application returned yet, and I do all my applications through the planning portal, so no need to post multiple copies of maps etc Rgds...Al.
  4. I run a 7.5t Iveco and a TW150 chipper. I regularly brim it, so don't know how you guys run 3.5t trucks! I do a fair amount of work in London, so popping back to the yard near Woking to unload is not really an option. Al.
  5. I will check on this and let you know. Al.
  6. Nice one Tony:001_cool: That looks ike the kiddie. Cheers....Al.
  7. There is no fruit at all this year. The crown is looking quite sparse and every leaf has these symptons.
  8. Saw this on a pear tree yesterday, and not sure if it is the blister mite. Does not look like any pictures I have in my reference books. The underneath of the leaf has raised blotches, which does not show very well in the photo. The tree had this problem last year as well, producing no blossom and no fruit. Can someone confirm what it is? TIA...Al.
  9. Sorry for the delay in replying, decided to go on hols as work was so quiet:sad: The tree looks perfectly healthy with a huge fully leafed crown. The wound in the photo is almost at ground level and about 3 feet high. I reckon it was either some machinery damage, or bonfire scorch from years ago. Rgds...Al.
  10. For my third, I had one of these buzzing around me the other day
  11. Here is my second photo. This was taking down a dead Horse Chestnut by crane, in piecemeal, so that it could be put back together again in an art gallery in North London.
  12. Here is my first:- Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do
  13. Thanks for your reply, had not thought of it as being 'old'. Rgds....Al.
  14. Go easy on me this is my first post:001_smile: Saw this on a Beech tree and have not been able to identify it. Anyone know what it is? Rgds....Al.
  15. Hi All, I saw this on a Beech tree the other day and can not find out what it is - can anyone help? Rgds....Al.
