  1. Or lime sulphur or copper sulphate, so my off sider tells me.
  2. Stuff in NZ called Wet and Forget. Bleach free and works on moss, mould etc. awesome stuff. If you can find a similar product in the UK.........
  3. Sometimes, if they're not seated properly when you twist them you have to wind the cap back on its locking mechanism, if that makes sense.
  4. Not that it's any consolation Mull but I was hoping the Scots would pull of the upset. Hopefully the Argies will finish the job.
  5. Yes he will. ABs were on the receiving end of a missed forward pass from Wayne Barnes back in 2007. He was vilified back here in NZ because one eyed supporters blamed him for the loss (despite there being the rest of the game to put more points on the board than France). Turns out Wayne is a pretty decent ref. Everyone makes mistakes and, having not seen the match, I don't even know if it was a mistake but, Joubert is a bloody good ref. It'll just take time for the dust to settle.
  6. Always one. One ref, two assistant refs and a tv official didn't pick him up on much. Awesome display from the ABs; here's hoping they can repeat that in the semis. ABs vs Boks always a fantastic match up so should be a doozy.
  7. Oh, and generally paleo muesli and as much coffee as I can get down my throat.
  8. Monday to Friday is always the same. Smack the snooze button on the alarm clock, listen to the birds wake up, wish I'd won lotto last weekend, wait for alarm to go off again and then rush around wishing I'd got up on the first alarm call. Saturday, have a an extra half hour lie in, get up and have two cups of coffee, porridge and toast (no paleo day) and roll out the door looking forward to working for myself for the day. Sunday, wake up two hours before the wife, read news on iPad while I wait for the wife to wake up and hope I might start the day the best way you can
  9. Drive around San Francisco and north of the city and nearly everything is built out of the stuff.
  10. Honest to boot. Probably more along the lines of what a few of us do but won't often admit.
  11. Far out, someone who bombs trees out like me. Nothing pretty just get it down. Nice. No requirement for road control or signage on the Gum job?
  12. I think that sums it up really 😆
  13. 395, great grunty saw but for ever rattling itself apart.
  14. Changed from a Blakes hitch to a SJ a few years ago and everything just got easier, especially as most of my stuff is spike work anyway so the self tending action of the SJ is good. Had a couple of cracks at SRT access but couldn't get he hang of it. Added a petzl hand ascender to the set up and all of a sudden it felt a whole lot more natural, don't ask me why. Completed my first work climb on SRT and keen to pursue this. Like some on here; I'm an older climber and my body is falling apart. Shoulders, hamstrings, wrists etc. if it makes my life easier I'm going to run with it.
  15. I went to Muir woods and although it's not a patch on those up the coast, for a first time visit it's very nice. Plenty to see and a great little walk.
  16. Thought as much. Currently have outro as one of my favourite tracks.
  17. Nice. Can I ask what the music was?
  18. Have a ball mate, it's an epic trip and there's a whole heap to see including the trees. Hope the weather up in Kings Canyon and Sequoia is good as the view off the top is awesome and the drive back down pretty full on. Sorry to hijack your thread Mario.
  19. Exactly what we do. Also, if we can't see the anchor it's try try try again.
  20. Should also say; spend more time in Yosemite than Sequoia. I found Sequoia distinctly underwhelming compared to the Pacific coast Redwoods but then it was pretty miserable when we were up there. The drive though is thoroughly enjoyable.
  21. I've just completed a very similar trip. Yosemite is just something else. Try doing at least one sunrise and sunset, usual no one else about and it's beautiful. Zion is also stunning but Bryce for me was a little meh.
  22. I dunno what mine is; it changes. One of them though is sitting around at the end of the day with colleagues that are also my friends, chewing the fat and winding down after busting ass non stop to get that big job done and dusted. Just kinda hanging around and talking about nothing in particular in the full knowledge that you've absolutely smashed it.
  23. If you're new to chainsaws get yourself on a basic chainsaw course would be my recommendation. Something learnt might save your life one day.
  24. Care to elaborate on the last statement?
  25. You need to split Gum when it's green. ALWAYS when it's green. It's like concrete if left to season for too long.
