  1. I have a hycrack and i use it as much as the processor it is simple fairly quiet if outside with tractor on tickover.
  2. I think you will find apple does not germinate very well thats why they graft alot. Dean you are correct go to the top of the class:001_smile: I am now about to start cutting some hay which is full of orchids the hay i spread in meadows with no orchids. The sheep eat the hay seeds pass through the sheep speeding up germination. we also spread clover and ox eye daisy passed through an animal really does speed things up. It is the same with horse logging in woodlands the hooves slightly turn the topsoil bringing seeds to the top where they germinate tractors compact and nothing will grow.
  3. Now thats handy to know i will have a look after lunch and get a few starter tips to get me going its a pity i have not got it yet as it is raining here i could of tucked myself up in the shed for a turn:001_smile:
  4. This is turning into a good thread. Dean you lucky man how much did you get that for? I am getting a wood lathe someone i know got a record lathe when he retired and he has never even switched it on and he said i could have it as long as i turned him something. I have been collecting some wood i have got some yew some nice box. I was talking to a wood turner at a show and he had a lovely bowl which i liked it was leylandii lovely colour:001_smile:

  19. We had a horse chestnut in the churchyard and it was near enough pollarded and all the cut surfaces fruited with polyporus i bet that truck will be nice and soft.

  24. OK heres a real naughty that i am not proud of! When i was about 10 i went in a childrens home with my brother and sister for about a month. There was a little girl who i did not like so i went collecting all the wee from the potties and poured it in her bed in the morning she was smacked for wetting the bed. Please dont make me feel guilty.:001_smile:
