  2. I went on a RFS walk the other W/E and there was pigs in the woods and when they are moved the area comes up in foxgloves it was an old deer park. Your job sounds really good better than mine i am not getting in the woods much i seem to be caught up in the hall gardens and grass cutting. I was out today i was making a list of my winter work as there is no planting this year as no funds which is not a bad thing as i can catch up with the cutting work.

  12. Iwas pulling your leg dean. I spotted 6 wild reds in one of my plantations the other day. This new born is in the park thats when i like my job when i can ride around and look at such wonderfull things.

  20. I once went to yorkshire on holiday i went in a fish and chip shop and asked for cod and chips twice the man said he could not understand me he said where do you come from i said suffolk he said if they all talk nlike you i will not be going there:001_smile:

  22. I know them as Gonks they grow on oaks to about the size of yours david then they fall off i have got a few in my shed i thought about selling them.
  23. Have a good look around the tree and check there are no D shaped exit holes of Agrilus pannonicus the beetle grub takes two years to eat its way around oak trees eating which girdles the tree and most die. I was at a RFS/AA talk and this pest is killing a lot of oaks and spreading fast. One man has lost every oak tree in his wood.
