  12. Yes very sad. If you think on this estate 20 years ago there were 6 woodmen, 10 years ago 3 woodmen and for the last 8 me on my own the future does not look bright. I heard a story last week about a firm of lawyers who now make there own tea and coffee and clean there own offices to keep costs down.
  13. The two lads next door to me are going to otley doing ND arb in september. By the time they finish there course i cant see there will be jobs for them.
  14. Nice one i would clear away the two boughs then it would become a nice tree again.
  15. I am sure you know that ganoderma is in panic mode running out of food time to move on.
  16. Here you are david the left and the right we aim to please here at helmingham. Not much to see really.
  17. Found this Ganoderma growing inside a great big beech yesterday while at my mums for the day. There where two big beech trees on the old hedge line around a FC wood.
  18. Yes you are right this is my understanding aswell. Tresspassers have rights i dont like it but they do. I risk assess trees on footpaths and where public walk but not any where not in the woods where they should not be but there is always someone walking in the woods and they say they are lost! but what would happen if a branch fell on them?
  19. You forgot the old man hannah LOL. many thanks.

  20. That is it. It is only waste to your client but is money and a product to you, you take it away and work it to sell for money.
  21. YOU DONT ASK FOR MUCH DO YOU DAVID. i will see if i can get one for you tomoz:001_smile:
  22. I was talking about this only today. I have a small wood with two footpaths through it and they have never been cleared in the 8 years i have worked here, so today with the help of a lad we strimmed them and i cut up all the fallen trees and dead trees. After we had finished i said would people have sued the estate if they had tripped over one of the fallen trees do you think or bramble hit them in the eye. Maybe it is better to keep them clear than find out, but the trouble is i have got 33 miles of public footpaths.
  23. This is a branch i cut off two years ago just about sealed.
  24. Here you are two galls on sallow leaves. I was reading a book this morning which said there are 92 british galls and 30 of them are found on oak trees.
  25. The trees here get hit every storm i have not found one from last night yet. The storm last year hit 3 oaks and a yew 2 of the oaks are now dead and i is fighting back but parts are dead. I have a lot of strikes i will try and get some pics for you.
