  1. No best are, any gloves on someone else's hands
  2. Did we???? Well your man was better prepped than the farmer I helped in his flat cap torn JD overalls and hush puppies
  3. 83m but that's not counting what you used to Ty him to the handrail
  4. Rob, don't mean to sound daft but do you really sell a 13" bar for a 390 And have you ever tried it  Tempted to get a 20" as have ordered it with a 28"
  5. Not really a call out if you can leave it till Monday morning to even have a look at it, not even had a chance to sit down and work out Thursday mayhem yet, 15 trees down on public highways called in by both highway agency and local authoritie. I tend to give domestic customers a choice when they call out of hrs ie 5pm till 8am, can it wate till daylight and I'll. Call in 1st thing and give price fir whole job or a set fee to come asap and asses, make safe if possible but with the understanding that if addition equipment to do so is needed that will be extra and give a price for tidying up and finishing any outher work at the soonest convince. Most suddenly realise it can wate and isn't the end of their world. Highways are different it's a set fee whether it's a 5min hoy a branch over a hedge or a 3hrs carving a full tree up but again anything outher than 2men saws and basic gear is extra but negotiable, some you win some you loos. Again my lads know this and I'll call round and c who is willing to come for a set fee with no obligation to say yes but most like the money so come.
  6. Just order my new 390 yesterday and asked Dealer to order me the larger inner and outer dogs, 28" tech light bar and flip caps for the tanks all not a problem. Should get saw tomorrow and rest next week when it's delived. Love the fact huskvarna can still post stuff to you.
  7. That mog just has proofed its worth this week!
  8. Well it will be 1800 square m floor space but the volume of the building is 21600 cubic metres
  9. I'm going to have to have a ride up your way some time Mitch and take a look at that trailer as thinking of doing something similar in the New year, if you don't mind that is :-/
  10. As long as the price showed includes the vat and it's not extra on top no need to tell them that it is included if they carnt reclaim it, as far as I can tell anyway.
  11. What type of chipper as I used to put my old tracked tw 150 on the ifor 85, just don't corner too fast. I think if you end up shoveling. Chip off that full it would take about 30-40min so if a longer day might miss the closing time with Hire shop but if the chipper is on its own trailer than at least you can take that back before dealing with your own trailer. I'd hold out for a bigger tipper.
  12. Same, don't go down the shoveling chip way as its always at the end of the day when your already knackered and unless you tip site is miles away from all your work the time you'll save is negligible compared to a few runs tip and back. How much can a transporter tow anyhow?
  13. Ideal set up is something like a palax prosessor for the smaller timber, easy load cut split load and a 30ton horizontal splitter with lift Arm to brake down the big stuff then xcut With the palax.
  14. That's almost sexy!! Is that alloy or stainless steel? In my head that's what I'd like following me around. Even good for crud fir the burn heap not just chip. Is that something pro tip fabricate?
  15. Lucky lucky man! At least he won't take long to get to work on Sunday when Chris helps sort it.
  16. I lined the little 85 with stock sheet which was good but pulled the first pop rivets out when it got cold but again trailer already had sides on. The alloy sheet looks good with the Sign writing On John guess that matches the tow vehicle
  17. Good idea painting the trailer blue Brett, less nickable! If you get the ifor sides with a new trailer they don't cost much extra but as an after sales thing are over £600+vat. Going to call the company that did the chip box On the rb44 and at least get a price on Monday but would still like to see any pics if any1 has done 1.
  18. I got an ifor 105 tipper a month or so ago but only with standard sides On which has been excellent for shifting timber stump grinders and safetrac behind the landy but I have some jobs coming up that are going to produce a lot of chip each day. Plan is to take chipper with rb fill that then fill trailer behind landy but need high sides to make the most of capacities so is it, A) plywood, cheep but temporary. B) ifor mesh Kit and a thin ply skin, £600+ C) get ally plank sides same as the rb made to match, price unknown So anybody got picks of theirs?
  19. That's not a prop its a felling cushion to protect the road surface Tomorrow's little delight, sorry poor photos taken tonight.
  20. Yip, was quite shocked you wernt in! Spent quite a bit and still forgot 2 things I needed to replace, that place is a danger to the bank account!
  21. That's a biggy Chris, suffering from the big m is it? Wish I had a setup to Clean all my stuff off like that as the rb is hacky After the mad day yesterday chasing around clearing roads!
  22. Most defiantly abc or Arial bundled cable ie live power line but try telling that to a old farmer who knows better than tree cutters........ Or electric board linesmen who came to shut it down..... Or police who asked him to step aside and let the professionals do what they do. All because he didn't want us to steel his logs!
  23. Nowt a bit of. T cut won't sort Had plenty more but nowt worth ells posting.
  24. A few from today, started at 6 this morning. And just walked in home at 7pm. got to the big ash and found a farmer helping out with a blunt saw and a loadall about to get crushed by the tree then found a power line pushed down to the ground right next to where he was standing then got told in his expertise. It was only bt so ok to carry on. When back an hour later when it was shut off to clear the rest.
