  1. Wrong! Just so wrong!
  2. I did see a botex on a trailer that had work lights mounted on the dipper boom near the top, they were housed in bits of box section On either side and just clamped around the boom with steel strapping so no bolts or welds and very well protected. Both were LED with quite a broad light spread pointing at the grab. I think farmi offer something similar as an option. Artwork that t190 looks very well guarded! Tidy job too. Far better than another if had a go with on a Jake plate.
  3. Not sure then, guess you will have too stick 1 on a weigh bridge. Get a few picks of the whole trucks as sounds interesting. Were they going cheep for you too get two of them or just a whim purchase?
  4. Arbwork, Is it harder to fit guards to yours with the crane being Jake plate mounted? Stephen how could you loos that crane, it was huge! Surely you could tell where it was by which direction the tractor was tilting . Would have liked a go with that rig though! It is easy to suddenly not know where your grab is on the dark, worst was on another roof mount I drove when unloading the big grain trailer at night as the lights only just reached the top of the headboard, hated it!
  5. Only in Russia! They look a little scared at the half way point for some reason
  6. Not sure with yours as mine is a 5.2gvw /7.5gtw. You might have one of the rarer 1's. Is it a Rb44 4x4 or a dodge50 some picks might help I think mine was about 3.2 empty but added a few bits since then so about due a re weigh
  7. Welcome sir, any time.
  8. What he said:thumbup: If you hit the back window feeding this chipper you shouldn't be driving it! Side Windows now that's another matter!? Easy for a timber stack to tip 1off into the side
  9. Carnt beet a roof mount for feeding a chipper! On biomass chipping we can clear 75ton + in a good day and it just eats trees! Not mine but I do spend a bit of time stubby driving it for lad in video. Handy having the 570tl crane for the extra reach!
  10. Busy daddy asked me too post this up of his 1st video doing a bit of biomass. Might get a bit more video of it working in a few weeks as I've got the Machinery for a thorn clearance job
  11. Love the rb! And yes I do think how did I manage without it, answer-things took longer, more trips and a lot more shoveling chip Any bits I've needed so far have been sorted by Jackson's of morpeth on normal Service parts off eBay or landy parts as an Rb44 is a bit of an amalgamation of vehicles. The winch has proofed itself invaluable so many times not especially On all this storm damaged tree work. I'd never have a arb truck without 1 now!
  12. Sure was over 250 miles in the Rb44 so a good workout for the clutch leg as well
  13. Sycamore cleaved out onto the main street blocking it. Cut it in half and winches it into 2parking spaces On the other side of the footpath. Got another call about 8.30 so took the trainee for a ride out and ended up doing 11 trees in different locations either blocking or partially blocking roads till about 9 last night. Including a call to a willow that was splitting in half and about to block a road.turned out the bit that was failing was going to block a the tree owners driveway but as the council would not let him remove the tree earlier in the year he presumed they should pay to clear it up. Left him a card and said I'd give him a quote to tidy it but had more important things to cut up at that time like 1 blocking the A172
  14. Was going back on the 6th but got a call so went at 1am today instead it's now 4.30 just got home till the next call
  15. Just got in at 4.15 after sorting this on Stokseley high street and a few little one's on road to g ayton
  16. Happy wet dog
  17. Father in law did that too my lawn mower and put red derv in it thinking he was stealing some mixt petrol. Even after a full Clean out it smoked for hrs.
  18. Who got out of the house today and took in a bit of crisp winter air. Lovely still frosty day with us so all went for about an hour's wander before back home for round two of Turkey dinners.
  19. Bet that's a heavy rig when the trailers full! Be a pig to reverse too I bet! What the op wants to do is what I used too and fit a.small swing lift to the trailer, fill trailer with Logs then lift splitter on top and strap it down or as I did when I changed too a 130landy swing the splitter into the back of that. Sorry no picks of it with the splitter but you get the idea.
  20. Not heard of many landowners being 're build for callouts too make a road passable but some have received a bill if the remaining tree/brash is a hazard to road. Some but not all La's can be funny about landowners working on the roadside which is effectively their land with chainsaws if unqualified and without any form of traffic management so may insist On a qualified insured company carry out the works. On a lighter note better be quick or them woodpixys will have the ringed up Wood away in no time at all!
  21. Happy children, what more can I ask for, especially when they go to sleep and I get too sit down and have a hobgoblin as no wind so no callouts. Appart from neighbors got lets dance for wee fit and had it on loud till late hence the ear defenders
  22. I think the dogs got the best present so far Skype was made for Christmas when you carnt be together,at least you can show off your New shirt to every 1. Children in bed at last so a beer and some tv for me. Have a good day tomorrow with Mrs Fox
