  1. This is what mine looks like in the Rb44 which makes reversing the little quadchips a lot easier. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  2. Well 30min in me bed and off again, just got home at midday sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  3. Just got home from this and 6 other smaller highways callouts, typically got winch of landy to send to mendiplogs and not got new 1 fitted so had to drag it onto the verge from towball. now to get some shuteye before the next sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  4. Snowed on and off all day where I was chipping today but now just rain and wind, nice scenery to look at with a little wintery dusting but not fun to drive in. At least you have a decent truck and not a chav mobile to get about in! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  5. Semi pro saw, big unbalanced lump IMO bit plasticy but ok for logging and occasional use or for a backup saw but won't provide the service level of a pro saw.
  6. Is the 220 basically the same as the safetrac but a tow behind machine. Because that's a beast of a chipper for its size.
  7. So true Had 1 lady comment about how much whiter my hair had gon since last time I'd worked for her, no I said just more of the darker hair has fallen out! Got all excited a few years ago while employed when a young lady answered the door in skimpy night clothes with a ow I didn't realise you were coming today.....;) Turned out she didn't, boss had forgotten to tell her.
  8. Cat.poo in a gravel drive or under a hedge is far worse smelling than dog poo, I filled a whole wheel barrow with dog logs in 1 garden and when the client spotted it simply stated could I just flick it over the back fence into the field like they normally do......school playing field :eek: Clearing up a few is not a problem as I grew up on boarding kennels and i hardly have any sense of smell but when the place is infested it's just nasty and will be taking a few points from here and pointing it out more!
  9. Like this, most of my saws are now run on it so they are marked as a few of the older saws are still on pump fuel, helps the lads remember and if I'm working with someone new it is a warning to them.
  10. Just swapped the stop switch on my 390xp for 1 off a t540xp so no more forgetting to turn the saw on Normal things like bars, chains, sprockets not standard. Put hinges on the quadchips covers so can't loose them.
  11. At least modern trousers are not like what we had to put up with as a student in the 90's. Remember them origon and husky sleeping bags that were the best around, you had trouble climbing into the van nevermind a tree but they did offer good padding under spikes which was the only good thing about them.
  12. It's recommend I believe now for type c for aerial work but must be risk assessmented for type a say under the risk of heat fatigue being a problem but must be recorded as such. Think that's how it is anyhow
  13. Quite cool, always wanted to do something like that, say 48hrs up some big trees for charity. But in summer!!
  14. Was that recently Andrew because I know of just that this Jan near me, a professional thinings contractor ended up in theatre having muscles re attached, be lucky to walk right again by the sound of it! Type c for me unless it gets very hot like last summer then I swapped to type b for climbing work. Trousers aren't there for the 100's of shhh that was close they are there for the time something go's wrong and you find out the kevlar material works.
  15. That is not good news, when I was in the market for my new chipper I found orange plant faceless and almost impossible to deal with for timberwolf so discarded them and delt with greenmech so much better and I fully agree David oliver is such a nice bloke to deal with for both parts and machinery hire especially 1or2 day hires, early pick up and next morning drop off as apposed to 8am collection and back by 4.30 or another day charged from the big corporate orange machine.
  16. Nice timber josh but nicer little crane, I want! Got some big welly to mill soon so hope I get the colour you have burrel .
  17. Yes, well sort of, had it put on by someone who knows what they are doing. But I did make the box for the landy myself after mark 1 ply box split apart full of chip half way home 1day
  18. Better be quick, becoming popular and they ain't making no more
  19. The Rb44 before it was sign written, and the landy a little full, this load did not go on the public highway before any starts, just wanted to c how much we could get in.
  20. No chance, got to sit holding the saw upright between my legs but that's because my knees are shot and had half of 1 kneecap out so bit lacking in bend. Might be ok doing it that way with a 088 on a cold day to warm your nether region
  21. Good luck that lad, you've had a good start now make the most if it  If I ever get my but in action and organise a rec climb down here you'd be made very welcome and prob show me up
  22. That looks good johny, a few places I chip biomass for use loaders to fetch timber too me and most use muck grabs which are a PITA as timber gets stuck on the tines, will save that pick and show them as much better and I guess a lot cheaper than a full on log grab from say hawkfork or the orange 1 from Riko. What sort of price was it?
  23. Mad lad for being up a windblown in 1st place! Bet his mates found it more funny than he did
  24. Father in law has it bad among other things, tried all the tablets didn't help, redbush t was a no go! Now on manuco honey from holend and barrot, spoonful everyday, taste nice even on toast etc and he is so much better even back out irritating the golf course which was impossible for quite a while.
  25. Yes bruks is north Yorkshire based so transport would be a fortune.
