  1. I like bacs as I always ask for the invoice number to be used as the reference so it's so much easier to keep track of payments coming in instead of where paying in 5 or 6 cheques then having to refer back to the slip for cross reference. Just the last few months had more ask if they can pay by card on a mobile chip and pin device, sham they are quite pricy as would be a quick way of doing things. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  2. That's a little worrying, but good job it was spotted and this particular 1 retired before it failed and someone got hurt, I'll be keeping an eye on the proceedings of this as was thinking of ordering 1 as an end of tax year treat but don't want to get used to a new system for it to be recalled again. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  3. Just got the biggest of the husky blowers and what a beast it is, 2 problems. 1 it's quite bulky but so are all backpack units. 2 it actually lifted the tarmac on the footpath I was clearing off after today's job  I think it is much better I think than a stihl br600 that iv borrowed and a LOT less vibration both on your back and on the handle. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  4. I like the idea that you can put a block in one side of the red 1 in the picture and then retrieve it like a cambium saver from the ground so if you are using a 2nd tree for a 2nd control line you don't have to reclimb to remove it. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  5. Big, numb and had a habit of snapping rope as tight bend radius for 25mm poly prop roap. Still use mine but mostly as a ground redirect for static lines like. speed lines. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  6. That is commitment bordering on obsession but what a place to live, spectacular! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  7. Well I don't want any videos of the making up, don't think any of us would stomach that:eek: sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  8. I feel a little guilty now for bringing your video to the masses on arbtalk and for the backlash it's caused you reg, sorry. Ian, don't take this wrong but do you enjoy being the 1 with the big spoon stirring it all the time or is it a devils advocate thing to try and promote both sides of a debate which is what forums are for, to express one's opinions be it conventional or otherwise within forum rules? sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  9. I think vermeer UK are a farmi dealer or its m large. 100hp would run a 10" farmi but only a small laimet prob 6"max as they don't have stress control. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  10. Nice, glad she's earnings a crust for you jon. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  11. Always nasty if your balls do that:-P sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  12. Probably the safety cut out on the drop box has shifted on its thred so is cutting in under less load, before I sold mine it would pull a lot less than it should but found the grub screw had fallen out so every time I used it it was getting less as the plate unscrewed itself. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  13. Sorry can't get a link up with phone and pc is playing up so any help would be good. Thought out old friend reg was losing it at 1st but all became clear very quickly, well worth a watch! I agree with the sentiments of your video reg ;-) sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  14. Don't think they are fussy as long as it's hydraulic oil, sounds like water in the oil so you might need a new tank cap as the seal will have perished. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  15. The only time I've smashed multi tips is on a 60hp grinder and only after much abuse I'd be thinking casting falt for the broken teeth and be investing in a spade to clear round stumps a bit in the future. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  16. Try looking at a farmi chipper if your just starting out with biomass chipping as much cheaper than most other brands, although it will not have a screen in it they do have slither brakes so tend not to suffer from oversized bits. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  17. Sounds like low oil level or water in the oil, too get it too come back down you will find a little bolt with a slot in on the top of the pump, undo this counter clockwise and it'll release the pressure and drop the bed back down. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  18. For forestry rounding off the toes is best practice as ugly but ends can lead to loades being rejected by the mill's as there auto system can't cope with them or costs more to process them. I was always thought by very experienced fallers to put gob in and if the tree proved sound then cut togas off the sides to stop tearing out roots and possibly affecting the direction of fall. If a trees structure is compromised by decay the buttresses are often the only sound timber left to create a hinge so need leaving till after falling but still good practice to trim them off after as makes everything easier to stack. As always with experience you learn to tayler your techniques to each situation so there is no definitive right and wrong ways, but most definitely safe and unsafe ways of felling timber. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  19. Lad that subbys local to me had this problem with his, I had a quick look for him and found that no matter how good the atomic tuning is it can't cope with a air filter that hasn't been cleared for near 4 months, quick airline out a retune in a big log and back too normal. Not saying this is your problem but go's to show some people just think the worst when it's not the saws falt. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  20. Do you actually want this job or are you just wasting our time just to tell job centre you have tried but failed, more money for nowt please.... Do you know how to make your own bate as we will not be stopping at a shop for you. Do you have Facebook on your phone and do you know how to turn it off while at work. Sorry just the questions some would like to ask but not always appreciated in a interview. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  21. Ash the points you make about the belts and fan are also true on the quadchip. But the flywheel speeds differ because of the pully sizes not engine rpm. Fuel consumption I estimate is around 1ltr of fuel per cubic m of chip on average going. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  22. I'll 2nd what kev said, I've used a 150 quite a bit as well and it's still a good.chipper, Quad 2 blade's, 150 4 blade's so twice the cost but hardly.any different in Chipping performance but this could be down to the fact the 150 has a slower roater speed which also means a little slower chip lobbing ability. Both are excellent chippers and it's more down to your type of work but personally for what I do the turntable swings it every time unless of course I was going much bigger then I'd have inline. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  23. That would give you the option of towing it behind a decent truck for more normal chipping duties and free up the dumper for ferrying chip off site. Could you not fit this sort of guillotine grapple to the tilt roater for more accurate cutting and stacking? sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  24. That is awesome setup, very simple shear grab which I think Richard homes imports into this country. Just got to love bandit chippers! sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
  25. It's just the right hight and helps save my duff knees! Just sent you an email jonny. sent while pretending to do something important on my mobile.
