  1. No worries, I probably borrowed it from someone else ;-)
  2. Another 1 for you jon
  3. Trick with the smart feed is slow the rollers down to below 5 on the valve and it generally solves the spitting it back out problem.
  4. Gardner, exactly the same as a Simon. Landy booms don't have the largest outreach but have many other benefits that in my opinion far out weigh this.
  5. The only advertising I do now is clearly sign written truck and word of mouth, get loades of enquiries starting with we spotted your trucks and got the number......
  6. These are all twin rollers with quite a large top 1 which climes forks and larger timber very well. Tempted to watch this machine myself.
  7. Not bad chippers, messy! You will need a full covered chip box or you'll have as much on your cab as in the back. Very solid construction and as long as the smart feed works properly a very productive machine.
  8. Generally a lot more pre work work to do as well like site specific method statement and risk assessment, having to fit in with there schedule not yours and time wasted on site with inductions etc and the for mentioned inevitable wait to get paid.
  9. Cost me £275 for inspection and cert, not sure on legal requirements of it but do know I need it to be covered by my insurance both public /employees and machine specific. No it wouldn't pass if legs can be raised without the boom being fully stowed in transport position as that's quite an important safety feature to avoid someone lifting them while your up in the air and toppling the whole thing over. Shouldn't cost too much for some simple relay switches to be fitted to a valve in the leg hydraulics to make it ok.
  10. Just had lola cert done on mine thismorning, 1st 1 since getting her and no problems thankfully. Do you know what the history of this 1 was as it's quite unusual with the donkey and welder behind the cab. Must be pushing 3.5ton with all that lot as mine is 3.19ton as she sits without gear on board.
  11. Just general photos of what sounds a very interesting and useful machine.
  12. Why such hi stumps Ian? Guessing they are being dug out eventually. Always nice when the presure is off and you can let them take there time with some gidence to help improve skills
  13. Interesting, any more pictures? Not seen one set up like that before.
  14. Interesting rook skiing at one point:thumbup: Cool video, really want to see that beastly looking chipper in action in one of your videos.
  15. Too much oil in it or could be water in the tank that starts to mix with the oil and get frothy so expand and bubble up. Check the level on the dipstick and then just say open the drane plug and see what comes out. Probably worth changing the oil and filter in it anyway.
  16. Reducing a storm damaged pop earlier this week in a blizard, customer just sent me the pictures and 1 I took looking over richmond as the snow closed in, brrrr!
  17. New 1 is good that fits on the can old green thing I had same as husky tops was pants so any1 thinking of getting 1 now good and lasting well.
  18. A while back I said the old fill partner wasn't very good so I'd got a new 1 which gets used all the time now. Now I know why I thought the old 1 was crap, it's because it was 1 of these so sorry Eddie.
  19. In the immortal words of George (of the jungle) To swing or not to swing..... SSSS WING!
  20. That's how it should be, most people know the answer just don't recognise the question being asked. You'll be fine, just enjoy.
  21. That's some facial enhancement going on lad, good work  Something so affirming taking someone who doesn't think they can do something to the point they know they can do it, looks some nice trees too.
  22. 10 min cutting with a saw and 25min sharpening the thing as redwood bark always has stupid amount of grit in it at ground level, big grinders hardly notice the extra few inch of timber especially stuff that brakes up as easily as this.
  23. That'd be easier to keep under the requested 5 min than cutting the tree would ;-)
  24. Shouldn't be too bad to get too, about an hr. Hope to be able to make it.
