  1. if its a 2007 onwards cabstar they tow 3.500kg. I have the double cab version, and i often tow this amount whilst loaded and its not a problem. thats only the 2.5 too
  2. thanks. although i think i may have got the qtys wrong when i first posted these tree enclosures are usually one post at each corner, which makes it 200 posts, not 400

  4. on my own with my tractor, 2 days easy. sounds pretty straight foward
  5. How many are there to do? Wil you be using a post basher or is it all manual?
  6. If you screen soil on site for use on site, no licence is required. Its only when you screen waste brought in from somewhere else that irs needed. no one round here seems to hire a supascreen, which is why I am looking into it
  7. You also need an environment agency permit, and they dont give them out easily. Plus what to do with the crap thats left. I actually have a pto driven sisis screen thats sitting in my yard doing nothing and its going on ebay as its too big. Ideally id like a supascreen, as they fit through garden gates and you can screen existing soil in a garden prior to turfing. That would make money
  8. Moisture meter should be put on the side of the log, not the endgrain
  9. Plus, the payments are 100% tax deductable! Win win win
  10. Why not just bite the bullet, and buy a new one. Put your 6k down as a deposit, lease it over 3 years. The monthly payments will still be less than your monthly hire charges, and hou have a machine you can rely on that will last years, plus you can fit attachments hire companies cannot provide. any old machine is likely to need new pins and bushes, and this can cost 2k on its on
  11. Might be interested , depends when and if I can get there. I take it that you will chip branches
  12. there is a very helpful chap (stephen blair) who has managed it on his 008-3. He piped into the crowd ram with a diverter valve, and it works a treat. Hopefully he will be along to point you in the right direction
  13. It should still be reported though, as there could be a pattern of thefts occuring within an area with the same mo. If they are caught, then it can be linked back to yiur thefts, and you can then sue for compo
  14. Can that be fitted to run the rads, but still use the exisiting gas boiler as a back up?
  15. Can I just say that you guys give the best advice. So nice to see some useful knowledge fro a change
  16. i had one fail on me once, and i simply replaced it and the saw worked fine. not saying thats the answer with your machine though. Hopefully one of the experts can shed some more light on it
  17. have you checked the decompression valve is operational?
  18. the boxes come with locks although i never used them. I only store muddy wellies, fuel cans, ratchet straps etc.
  19. Thats who did mine. Cannot get photobucket links to work on this tablet. Will change it when I get on the computer later
  20. I think from memory it was about 250 for the two including the brackets to hold them on
  21. I had some custom made from chequer plate for my cabstar. I can find his details for you
  22. Mick patten. 07774866667. He can source any vehicle cheaper than a main dealer
  23. Have to say speaking fr8m experience, the new cabstar has more room than the canter, so dont rule it out. shame, as mine in the picture is up for sale mid apr
  24. I sell mixed loads unless I ts for an open fire, otherwise its all the same price
  25. Why is softwood cheaper? Itscost you the same to cut and season it as hardwood surely I do my cabstar level load, 140 deliverd and tipped. Its a 10 x 6 body
