  1. Anyone know the most current place to buy some? Link above seemed to have run out of stock! Happy with used if any of you guys want to get rid, but want the mosquito net ones
  2. Which one the cs100 PTO,, or the 6inch?
  3. How the hell do you move it around? Cant see a handle on it anywhere
  4. Avants just feel nice to use over the multione. The multi is noisier, not had experience of bits falling of the avant, but I am owner user so I dont hire it out unless I am using it. Multi one attachments fit both I gather.
  5. There is a company called janbor that supply roll on roll off for timber. My mate has one on his nursery, all his wood waste goes in, except MDF and chipboard, as the glue is not good, but treated timber not an issue. It's quite a reasonable price in gather, and you could shred into it to get the most value out of it. I am quite fortunate, I keep all my old fence posts for my own fire at home, and green waste i have a free tip for, but not everyone so fortunate
  6. Ian flatters from target trees has a vermeer. He used to post a fair bit on here. He seems thrilled with his, and uses it daily. Cormidi does look good, but not sure it's as powerful. Avant is better all round though
  7. Never understood why the treebusta couldnt have continued, albeit in orange guise. Superb bit of kit. Its replacement really is one of the worst of its size out there
  8. You mean it has a 3tonne payload
  9. Oak can get to 20% in a season, but only on the outside. If you split it open and read the internals, you may be surprised!
  10. Kubota. Holds its value, bulletproof.
  11. Is this for your fire or selling? From experience, oak is not great for burning unless mixed in with other . I am burning old oak fence posts, cut to 500, about 75mm in width, and put on the fire as is, they are not great. Soon as I mix it with some softwood, then all good. But in answer to your question, I think you will struggle whatever to get to that figure unless you leave it at least 4 years. I did a moisture test on a piece I had stored which came from an old barn structure. Been kept inside for 40 years at least, it registered 22%!
  12. Not surprised. That's a very cheeky price they are asking. That will be gathering a lot of dust
  13. Thanks. At last, someone else who can see that petrol engines on chippers are crap!
  14. Yes, but having lower horsepower means if takes longer to chip up than it did before, therefore running the chipper for longer, therefore putting out the same amount of carbon ! It's like when the eec told us our kettles were too powerful., so haveing a kess powerful kettle took longer to boil, therefore using the same energy as the higher wattage one.
  15. What warranty? Have you ever heard of someone actually successfully using it? 9 times out if 10, its wriggled out of.
  16. Pete may we be talking about greenmech chippers, but I have been told, and I am not mentioning who by, but on timberwolf it's a simple adjustment. Nothing has been changed apart from detuning
  17. Pete, we have been through all, this before. We as the end user can do what we like to our machines. Kubota are not going to stop selling you engines, because one of us has returned the engine back to the proper settings that it should be on before all, this nonsense. The machines ran perfectly well on 35hp, so returning them back to 35hp from 25 is hardly going to cause anything to blow up. It's a bit like re mapping a pick up. If it's done within parameters, not an issue.
  18. Yes. Pretty much. I will try and get a photo of the part that adjusts
  19. Any decent diesel fitter can do it. Or a local kubota engine dealer
  20. How? It's the same engine they have been putting in them for years, it's just been de tuned to meet regs. Just tune it back when you have a problem, but why would you on a kubota engine? When it comes down to it, warranty isnt worth the paper its printed on
  21. It's a detuned engine. Just get it and get it re tuned back up to the 35hp that it should be!
  22. How much? For a Ltd company? And that includes your fling to companies house fees too?
  23. Yes, you can submit the returns from excel yourself, using an add on, but I get my accountant to do Mine as he checks for errors
  24. The accountants may use it, but we as individuals dont need to. I submit my vat from my excel spreadsheets to my accountant, he then loads it up to the vat portal
