  1. Thought i may have had the iphone posse coming on and dissing me!
  2. Just setting the phone up so will purchase the fungi and knot apps later - will be handy to have available. Not into my gaming - I may be one of the few people who doesn't have a console.
  3. Hello all Just upgraded from a jurassic phone to a samsung galaxy 3. Anyone out there give me pointers on good or useful apps and where to get them? Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi everyone; There is a cs41 course running at Warwickshire College at Moreton Morrell approx early October if anyone interested. Please call Kathy Murdock on 01926 318347 for further info.
  5. Hi Matt Did you empty all those cider bottles whilst cleaning the truck?!!!
  6. Been using the same 1L SIGG bottle for years now. Cutting, climbing, camping.....most of the paint has chipped off and it's covered in dents but still watertight. It's got character!
  7. Give Pershore College a call. They run both chipper and stump grinder courses. Speak to Jean Baldwin.
  8. The word on the street is that my side kick has purchased 5 litres of Worcestershire's infamous Kneeknocker cider - should be interesting watching him change colour over the course of the evening! Me? I'm there purely for educational purposes....

    Fall Guy

Cool truck I've got The Fall Guy as my ringtone....."well I never spent much time in school but I taught ladies plenty"! Classic.
  10. Got the forms and purchase order all filled in for myself and a colleague- just got to get the powers that be to put their signature on. Spoke to Tiffany at AA last week and she said there were still places available so all you chaps who have sent your money should be in the gate. She guestimated about 35 tickets had been sold which seems a bit disappointing I thought - hopefully there will be a last minute dash. Will the AA be selling any of their books/literature at the event?
  11. I went along to watch - great stuff! - and the crowd were loving it. Spoke to Grant afterwards and he was a real nice bloke. Well done to all involved.
  12. Nice pics Dak Can you explain the set up in photo 0740 for me please
  13. Where are you doing it? Interested in getting on a course myself.
  14. I recently went and had a free consultation for laser eye treatment. The price advertised was FROM £395 per eye. The actual price was closer £1100 per eye! Apparently I've got big pupils!! I walked away after haggling the price down by 10% and expect them to call me back in the near future with an improved offer - friends who have had it done have told me this is routine. Problem is I snapped my glasses in half last week on a job and had to call the girlfriend out with my old back up specs. What to do now? Buy replacement specs or wear old ones and wait for the call? I have no problem with the procedure and the simulated results were impressive.
  15. I washed and waxed my Landy yesterday. Even polished the chequer plate!
  16. Went to use the chipper today and when I put the key in the barrel and tried to turn the ignition on the whole barrel moved with the key. I tried tightening the nut against the barrel but the whole thing just spun together. So I removed the exterior nut that tightens on the barrel thread and took the cover plate off and physically held the barrel and it fired up fine. There doesn't appear to be anything for the barrel to grip against other than the nut when you put it back together. Has anybody else had a similar problem? It's a 2003 model.
  17. Shoot me down if you wish but the Britpart () waterproof covers are good in my opinion. They fit well and include a cover for the centre seat if you use it. All for about £30 at MM4X4.
  18. Thanks for the advice so far people. Monkey business - no problem with the power of my 110. It's the skidding noise of chipper tyres coupled with the squealing noise of Land Rover brakes scaring the bejesus out of cyclists, small children and animals thats the problem! Cue anti Land Rover posts!!
  19. Hello all; The brakes on my chipper keep sticking on when towing - to the extent that the wheels lock on and skid and jump around behind the truck. I have had the wheels off and cleaned and adjusted the brakes pads but the problem still persists. Is the next step to replace the cables or do I need to adjust them? If so any advise how best to do this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  20. Think I may be the last one Steve - 23.57! Sorry if it makes it a late night for you.
  21. I Know of three 261's, all bought at the same time and with very light use, that have gone back to the dealer with the same problem. Poor quality batch of raw material apparently.
  22. Good to hear your enjoying it out there Richie. Looks like you've put a bit of timber on yourself - must be the Canadian beer!
  23. Tits are ace! (Sorry couldn't resist )
  24. Cos a Defender's got what it takes and keeps on doing what it takes.
  25. I take my Patterdale on most jobs. She'll gladly sit in the truck tub and watch the day's events. If the back of the truck is full she'll sit tied to the winch hook by her lead until it's time to jump in the cab and head to the boozer!
