  1. The obvious "That's a big chopper!"
  2. No, definately leaking from bar side of saw. Had all the bits off but can't see anything obviously wrong. Could there be an internal mechanism jammed open?!
  3. Wll check the pick up holes Big 'Ammer. However, I should have said the leak happens even when the saw hasn't been running. Got a nice puddle in the workshop.
  4. Hello everyone. Got a Husky 351 that constantly leaks a high amount of oil from the oil holes; leaves a right puddle whenever i put it down! Minimised the amount being fed by turning the small screw at the bottom of the saw but doesn't seem to have helped. Gotta admit I don't fully know the ins and outs of a saw being new to this game so any advise would be appreciated. Thanks.
  5. Shocking! Could have done a better job before I even trained. Probably a voluntary job by a "Do(no)-Gooder"!
  6. I had exactly the same problem Kipperfeet. Doesn't create a relaxed workplace when your lid is swinging around more than you are! I saw the Eldrid at the A.A. show but the £98 price tag scared me off. So is it true I can't take a cs38/39 with my trusty Husky arb helmet?
  7. Thanks for the words of wisdom lads. i did think that working for an established set up - with the tree's AND employee's interests in mind - would be the best route to take; whilst also doing my own small jobs at weekends in order to see which best suits.
  8. Hi everyone! New to this forum. I'm in a similar situation to yourself Fowler. 37 years old and just attempting my cs tickets. i had them ten years ago but never put them to use, then found out they had expired! Anyway;nearly through a one year arb national certificate and will be looking for work shortly. On the plus side the small amount of climbing i have done with people in the trade or with experienced practical teachers has resulted in very good feed back due to my positive and mature approach to the task at hand. Are you hoping to gain employment with a firm or go it alone? I'm not sure which would be the best approach for a guy my age - can't really afford to drag brash for next couple of years!
