  1. There is no excuse really for not being qualified, you dont have to do the training, for quite a few of mine I just read the assesment schedule and booked the assesment.Insurance companies are just not going to pay out if something happens and you aint got the tickets.
  2. Might have been said but isnt this question a bit like ,what is the safest shotgun.
  3. Ditto yorkshireman , what a waste of time. Not sure really if they are the organisation they claim to be.
  4. It is so comforting to know that after a tendering process and reams of paperwork and hoop jumping that someone will do this work for nothing.

  6. It happened exactly that way close to me last winter, a guy wanted a hedge taken out ,it was road side on a sharp bend about 30 to 40ft high about 40 yards long with a phone line running through it.From memory he got 200 pounds for it.

  9. I admire you for helping the lads out so much but lending cars or trucks to lads, that is a position of trust in my book has to be worked for.
  10. Exactly how it worked less putting down for aditional costs, there must have been about twenty different jobs to do ,pushed on the first day to make an easy second, just get mugged every now and again.I suppose you have to think of the times it works out the other way around. I think this is one of the few industries where some clients think this is acceptable.
  11. Was 5 acres of perfectly manicured garden, tree in Hilliers can not id deffo more work ,what do you do was priced for two days but could have left early.
  12. Just wait for the "whilst your here" you just end up working for nothing, had it for two hours the other day on a two day job ,the client even had the cheek to ring and say we had forgotten a couple of branches to reduce back.
  13. It is always busy this week of the year, the snow only helps ,easier than selling smack backstage at a Jeremy Kyle show.
  14. You dont have to be self employed, if i am right your employer should be able to sort it out.
  15. Look it up will only accept a small fee if you get any where with it.
  16. Same thing happened to a company in London a few months ago ,groundie walked into the back garden and the climber saw the chipper going up the road hooked onto the back of a car,we should all lock them to the vechile ,yet another bit of time in our day that has become the hidden cost of security. How much time do we have to spend unlocking containers and lock boxes in containers each day of the day just to try and do a job we all love.
  17. Would not have been so polite to them if they came back I was too late for my steak after spending twenty minutes with them.
  18. Just been stopped by the police calling into my local to get a steak at nine oclock (been a long day).Did not mind in the slightest as I had a stump grinder on the back of the truck and they were only interested in its ownership . Plant apparently is stolen every night in our area and it is good to see they are doing at least something about it.
