  1. Same thing happened to a company in London a few months ago ,groundie walked into the back garden and the climber saw the chipper going up the road hooked onto the back of a car,we should all lock them to the vechile ,yet another bit of time in our day that has become the hidden cost of security. How much time do we have to spend unlocking containers and lock boxes in containers each day of the day just to try and do a job we all love.
  2. Would not have been so polite to them if they came back I was too late for my steak after spending twenty minutes with them.
  3. Just been stopped by the police calling into my local to get a steak at nine oclock (been a long day).Did not mind in the slightest as I had a stump grinder on the back of the truck and they were only interested in its ownership . Plant apparently is stolen every night in our area and it is good to see they are doing at least something about it.

I lifted an old jappa 700 out of brambles last year that had been sat there for a couple of years got it back the yard greased it up put it on the tractor and off it went, had to replace the pump drive belts but they were cheap enough, very basic machine like Hodge said look after it and should go on and on
  9. Have to say we were usinng 260s got a 346xp 18" and the xpg 15" needless to say the 260s seldom get used ,it is like comparing a ford cortina and a golf gti
  10. Surley the buzz of doing a big tree is seeing a team working in harmony,if your ground crew arent returning rigging ropes ,keeping your rope free ,ground clear, listening to your saw and holding the fuel can before you ask ,getting next size saw ready ensuring it is sharp ,if this is not the case you are going to have a bad day which in winter can easily turn into two which usually will affect margins dramaticly.
  11. Not unusual, have a job to do soon a large windblow sweetchestnut and the client seemed surprised we want to winch the root plate back into place.
  12. Whilst talking about customer service I ordered a climbing saw from my local saw shop and it was a weak before I had chance to pick it up or check it was in by this time they were closed untill Jan ,I left a message on the answerphone as I am not stopping too much over the holiday period and needed the saw. The proprieter who is not even in the country rang the next day to say the saw will be delivered to another shop in the town for my collection, I do not have an account but am a regular customer . This is what I call service and worth customer loyalty
