  5. Hi all I am looking for a self drive stump grinder , biggest available will do if not a little smaller , south of England somewhere would love to sub the job out but thats not possible.Any ideas gratefully received.
  6. Have not sorted a price yet , would have been better to buy it when it was in the brambles, but things did not work out that way . That is why I have not got the tcut out just yet. To be fair to the old db it was parked up for fourteen years and I I had to do was put a 24volt jumper pack o it and a good squirt of nasal spray and a few minutes and black smoke and crud later off she went. Was parked with a full tank of fuel which has since been used .

  8. Pulled this out of the brambles a few months ago , with minimal effort got it going and now will split logs all day long when required

  12. Climb on srt you will go home disappointed as for vt no probs you have to tie a 3 knot on the rescue so be prepared for that.As for on site assessment that is between you and your assessment center . Have you had any training outside of work for this.?

  14. Money for old rope really , how many ecologists are going to stop a project. If they do the next time the contractor gets a different one in .I have seen this happen.

  17. I had a petrol kingcab in the 90s and did well over a hundred thousand in it . Had to change a gearbox but thats about it.Ran all over Europe with it ,cost a bloody fortune to run though .
  18. In that situation once and thankfully only once have I seen this but the groundie continued chipping when the van had gone to tip ,did not even look up to see the chip going on the road.

  21. 200 for a few thousand pounds worth of kit and an experienced guy sounds reasonable, some people wont pay that for a man and chipper
  22. A chipper mounted on a Landrover would surely shake it to pieces in next to no time although a few older arbtalkers will remember a umm with a vermeer on the back of it running around Taunton may years ago
  23. At first I thought blimey he must be selling loads as it looked like rolled up bank notes in the picture:thumbup:
