1. Had a middle aged overweight lady ask if I can smell her poo factory ?
2. Most towns have a Special Branch or two , well two in Taunton anyhow . If you cant find him I would not get too flustered his advertising aint that good .
3. Truro Toppers and Loppers:biggrin:
4. Nothing you can do about it . You have named your company after a location , there is now endless other options Truro Arborist , Truro Tree Company , Truro Tree Care just off the top of my head .
5.

Hi , We may have an opening in Devon at least for November with mobile home accomadation ( dont worry it has a 10 kw wood burner running 6 rads ) One of my lads is off surfing for a month . This could possibly lead to more . Do you have some references would be a good start for us as we have not had the best of success with arbtalk . or some type of cv to [email protected]

8. I have one guy had so much time off at really short notice I have started to call him Ferris:lol:
9. They have had eight course coordinators in two years and it is not looking like it is going to get any better . The college administration is just as bad as the staff turn over is so high you never get to speak to the same person twice .
10. Tommy , one of my local centers is not even fulfilling that part of their obligation to their students.
11. Be prepared for a kicking if you don't buy it . It was up to you to check it out prior to bidding surely.
12. I had the national advice service ring me , I told them in no uncertain terms if they rang me again they might be getting advice they don't want to hear .
13. if it's delivered correctly of course. Thats my point , in my area it is not and there seems to be little gained in the way of qualifications
14. Phillip that sounds like an excellent course and the type of thing the colleges should be offering , today one of the colleges here has backed out of of what little it was offering . I am pulling my hair out , this lad really wants to do an apprenticeship but these places are a joke.
15. I have recently looked at taking on an apprentice and feel the standard of delivery of this course at both of the colleges locally is nothing short of shocking , one certainly of which I feel has failed its students in a shocking manner , ie no or little contact with students , students turning up and there being no lecturers . Neither of these colleges are offering much to the students in the way of nptc certs ect until the end of the course. My point after my little rant is has anyone ever tried to deliver the entire apprenticeship themselves as one of the above colleges is entirely work based learning and received the funding for such , to me it seems the colleges aren't doing much for the funding they must receive. I might be barking up the wrong tree but any thoughts would be gratefully received.
16. I do my 220 ones in place with a die grinder . It does not take too long just a while laid in the hopper. If it is not drawing in properly I would also check the angle the blades have been sharpened at is correct. I had one set that were wrong and the difference that made was crazy it was rubbish.
17. Not the point I was making.
18. I am not saying this happens at all but what would the chances be if a self employed person did really well for two years , got a mortgage and then would you believe it the following year net profit drops dramatically:001_cool:
19. Thanks Geoff thats spot on
20. Any one know where I can get one of these apart from here, diamond coated grinding disk tree stump teeth sharpener grinder | eBay thanks
21. Southern Irish plates , disco comercial also
22. As a the title , has any one done this and how much of a ball ache was it.?
23. If charging top dollar is your thing you are going to be busy at busy times of year and everyone is your best mate that is for sure but if tree work is seasonal in your area as soon as things get quiet you may well see your phone slow down . A lot of tree work is undertaken by mediocre guys with ease who will be charging a lot less (and why not?)
24. Freelance position One of the lads that does quite a bit for me is away for a month so we need a second climber . We can help fill your time mowing and strimming also. May well lead to more work but current climber will be back.
25. As title , do not want to bring it home , a drink in it for someone ,
