  8. There is always something to do , are your saws always fully serviced ? vans levels checked ? logs fully split and yard tidy ? I always honour the days work , subbies can come in to if booked but will have to work in the yard , if they chose not to thats up to them . Thats how it works with us anyhow .

  15. Bit of a long shot given the time of year , any subbies need work in North Somerset next few weeks pm me , ps must like big trees :001_smile:
  16. I've just received cheques for work we did in July , the further you get into this the more you are owed , it's when you are not owed any money you need to worry .
  17. We have made it so difficult to employ short term labour with employment and health and safety laws its no wonder there is a labour shortage . Imagine how many men of working age have walked from north Africa and the like this summer . These lads have bloody walked for months , many lads won't walk to the shop to help themselves . My point is if it was easier to employ them as casual labour some might want to take it further . Surely some of them will have the mind set to do this . Eggs your right about sharing the marbles but it only takes one bad apple in a company for employers to tighten the purse strings . As for taking on foreign health professionals , why not , another country has trained them or they have paid themselves to be trained and they come here to work and pay our tax . Thats better .
  18. Bump , Need some grinding done there too .
  19. Looking at buying ,
  20. Can anyone tell me the market value of a four year old 1x42 kept inside its whole life looks to be in good nick . Thanks in advance again .
  21. Know what you mean about the huskys , I had a 560 on site the other day ad a forestry mulcher ran over it , just saw the driver collecting about 30 different pieces , pmsl to be honest , hated the bloody thing , all I seem to see is lads trying to start huskys , don't get me started on the climbing saws either , my local husky mechanic even said there the crappiest saw ever made . that is all.
  22. Old mill , yes I did , should be in your inbox, thanks
  23. Kev , this may help with another one , all sorted now thank you muchly again people .
  24. Hi all , we need a tip site in or near Redhill , willing to pay of course , ll the best Tox
  25. I think what we also need to remember is employers and customers alike may check someone out on Facebook before using their services . I know quite a few employers who run fake or ghost profiles and have been and had accepted friend requests from employees . Big brother is no longer watching us , were telling him.
