Have to say the tr8 sits a little heavy on our 8x4 , only fits on the wrong way , truck copes with it , transit doesn't notice but I think I'll try a 9x4 if there is such a thing , or as the previous post a 10x5 would be ok .

An enthusiastic climber/general operative required to join our team of commercial climbers. This can be a full or part time position paye or subbie basis . Thanks Gary , kind of my thoughts too , seemed overkill for odd plates and a bit of roadside testosterone perhaps on both sides . As for the breakaway I agree as we always have three or four new ones hanging on pegs in the workshop who should have been done before they left .

One of my lads this week was stopped by VOSA on a major road , it took him quite a while to pull over because he didn't have a clue who the orange lights behind him were which infuriated Mr VOSA man . The faults found were the plates didn't match (both company plates) and break away cable missing . Both of them problems could have been sorted before they left the yard which hands up for that . My lad stood his ground with mr angry VOSA man who was saying the trailer was overloaded (1 X kubota 3680 on 3.5 ton plant trailer) and was looking for fault which he did not find . This ended with no endorsements or fines but angry Mr VOSA man saying he was putting a marker on both the plate on the trailer (my old logging truck) and our transit . Can this guy do this and can I expect to be stopped every two minutes or is this harassment ?

That has to be one of the slickest best value units about , really like the idea of just the name and let the client do the rest . Forst haven't mentioned colour schemes to me yet and have to say black could well be the one for us should we go down that road .

Having done quite a few highway jobs recently my biggest gripe is the lorry drivers shandy . Even saw one that looked like some one had crapped in a bottle (how even do you do that ). Back to post ,just empty van when fueling up surely .

Well this morning everything for the week scheduled nicely , new employee starting and two lads back from leave , couple of phone calls later and it all change and as usual clients want work done yesterday so planning goes out the window . I do agree with earlier posts to keep a day a week spare .

How old are you Nikk? , we have met with a brick wall trying to take on a 16 yr old apprentice . It appears tree surgery and marine engineering is a no go with insurance companies .
