1. I am looking at taking another apprentice this summer . A school leaver who has been very pro active at getting himself a placement which is a great start (mummy and daddy not involved). We are perfectly set up to provide training however trust insurance inform me any persons under 18 will not be covered to use any machinery or climb qualified or not or perform any task apart from drag branches . My concern is life will be very boring for two years for this lad . My question is really do the apprenticeship provider provide cover for this for under 18's?
2. 35. Way too cheap , indemnity insurance for loler is £300 pounds a year , for me minimum £50 unless it's half a dozen bags or more and I have been known to drop a bit . Also may be more if a bag has crazy amount of kit in it .
3. This has been going on longer me this for years now . I think the problem in the past has been the little snowflakes not even bothering to turn up for assessments when it is put on a plate . Invest in the future and hope they don't leave unfortunately.
4. Really good one and not a clue . I shouldn't imagine really they can stop you but really wouldn't want to try it out . I once new a guy who turned up with a team to do a large take down to find a film crew set up in the neighbouring property . Started work and was asked to stop by said film crew . N The chap in question being quite savvy walked away with a very large wad of cash in his pocket and returned another day .
5. We use a place at Potters bar for that area . Any good ?
6. I run both a citroen relay 3.0 160 hp cage tipper with a tool box which I love . No drive train noise , high geared and a nice cab , however I got this to be the primary vehicle and it really doesn't carry the weight quite so well (it does have a massive cage though) . It tows fine and for me does the job . I also had to buy a transit as the citroen was supposed to replace our iveco and the twin wheel rear wheel drive does carry the weight much better . If your work is urban and your not loaded to the top the fwd all the way for me (my foreman completely disagrees) Hope this helps .
7. Hi just putting feelers out there for help for call out work over the christmas period Cornwall/Devon/Somerset/Dorset/Avon won't be night time but let me know if you are interested and expected rates and where you are .
8. Got room for a crane out the front ?, put them in piles and crane them out ,can be really quick and not as expensive as spending days messing about .
9. I have a lad leaving after four years to go travelling so on the look out for more climbers for commercial tree work . Year round varied work although not so much domestic . (may well suit ex utility cutter) The odd early start or overnight job . Excellent opportunity for enthusiastic individual . Be part of a friendly gang and get in touch .
10. I have to say my dealer back up is spot on , they are always helpful and if there is one available give me a replacement when mine are in (if i need it ). GM themselves are always happy to answer questions and help with diagnostics on the phone. It is used machines I brought too . As stated before chippers get a fair hammering and ours are no different so we have the odd issue but nothing out of the ordinary .

17.
Hi , How much for the rifle , am near Tiverton and interested .

18. As above , need to offload a load of clean chip in Minehead . Any help gratefully received , thanks again
19. Lucky you TCD not sure what the flip I'm gonna do with this lot , one the piles we've got brewing .
20. Need to offload at least one load of clean chip in Gravesend area . Where are you guys tipping ? Thanks in advance
21. I'm looking at getting another tipper and was thinking whats the difference between the single and double wheel rear ends . My thinking is we do quite a lot of miles not carrying huge loads and towing usually the wheeled chipper but some times tracked , would a single wheeled be cheaper on fuel ? Is towing affected and better with double wheel ? I am keeping another twin wheel Iveco but she's done quite a few miles now so can enjoy a local retirement . I'm really interested in your opinions on this as haven't the foggiest .
22. As above , friendly gang needs more help . Get in touch to find out more
23. I'm looking for options for replacement drive unit for our chipper , gone down in a pain in the neck of a place and will wip it off in place and change or fix . Thinking a new one is going to cost me a kidney. Does anyone know if they are the same as other machines or what is my best route of repair . `Thanks in advance
24. I'm thinking of the easy traffic work too , however we do get through quite a few clutches normally and am concerned of the cost , maybe a call to iveco I think .
