  1. brilliant actor especially as was said earlier in next of kin with Liam Neeson. Apparently the jokes have already started but i've only heard the one so far.
  2. johnny, are those the lads who demo at the GYS?
  3. my 2.5TD beat a TD5 off the line the other day, i'm not sure who was more shocked me or him!!! However my landy is starting to feel her age now but as i've had to buy a new van i'm going to have to do a lot of the work myself so i bought the haynes restoration manual yesterday, the only thing i wont be doing is the wiring as she needs a rewire due to it all being a manky mess and i need to repair the bulkhead so i might as well kill two birds with one stone and have the wiring done whilst the bulkhead is off.
  4. all sorted now. picked the new van up today and haven't looked back since. If this happens to anybody else just one word of warning fingerprinting powder is a sod to remove from paint work even using what the soco's recommend.
  5. the big sledge seems a good idea.
  6. i'll try and get some photo's of it as it is now but i think you can see it in a couple of photo's from the get togethers at dean's.
  7. you wouldn't think they were in two separate countries.
  8. quick update. i've now got the van back but soco's didn't ask for me to go down to look at the van to see what had been taken and what hadn't. The little canutes have taken out the bulkhead, smashing the small sight window that was in it but the soco's left a sweatshirt which isn't mine in the cab and also a piece of electrical cable and a wooden chair which i have never seen. the ratchet straps that were in are all tied up in knots across the van, broken glass everywhere in the back. About the only good thing is i had some rat poison sachets in the van and one of them has split open so hopefully the scrophulous little toerags have ingested some and now have a very upset stomach. Treetop i was already way ahead of you, i'm chopping this van in for a 54 plate tranny tomorrow when i get the citroen sorted out and all the fingerprinting dust off it.
  9.
  10. they're doing it on monday unless it's been used for a serious crime in which case it will be done over the weekend.
  11. bob, keys were in my jacket in the customers porch and the door was shut so police treating as burglary. i was working about eight foot from the porch with a stump grinder so didn't really notice anything as the house is right next to a main road so i wrote off any shadows passing me as reflections or shadows from traffic going past. Robert S, i've got to collect the van from the recovery people's secure storage early next week but i was thinking of getting a new van anyway and this has just pushed me into getting it as i'm not sure i want to drive it not knowing what has been done with the van whilst it has been out of my hands. They'd also changed the number plates as well as taking off the sign writing.
  12. just had some good news, the van has been found, in one piece with keys but minus sign writing and thieving scrotes. it was found on leeds road in Kippax (for those who know leeds).
  13. Would any of us do what he did for the length of time he did?
  14. cheers for that alasdair, have you got your landy sorted out yet?
  15. it was on hire from orange plant so it is currently being stored in the client's garage for collection tomorrow.
  16. seen that before andy but still cheered me up cheers.
  17. spoken to an aquaintance who's in the police and he thinks it could be being broken for parts or has just been dumped or is on its way to ireland.
  18. cheers for the messages of support lads. Fortunately the van was empty as i was stump grinding and had to empty the van to get the stumper in although my ordinary specs were in and both my silkys:sneaky2:. it went walkies between 3.20 and 3.40pm whilst i was grinding and had my ear defenders down.
  19. why not get a ransomes spider dean? remote controllled and great on slopes, just sit in the landy with a cup of tea and a good book:thumbup1:
  20. cheers brett. I just didn't read the last couple of lines of your mail thats all.
  21. why not put it in quick links under the quick links section on the drop down menu?
  22. Can you let me have your number YP (sorry i've forgotten your proper name:blushing:)?
  23. I'm sure i've seen Ray Mears fell a tree using a similar technique:001_tongue:
