  6. not really anything great but milled some chestnut that my mate he wants to use as 4x4 posts for a outside table and some 2in slabs to cut up for 2x4 for the under side of the table I believe he is going put walnut or elm on the top so be interesting to see once done
  7. I find elm mills quite easy Oak is hard on the saw Acasia is hard to
  8. If I was to start again I would buy a 36 inch Alaskan even if I only had a 25inch saw once u start u will work ur way up the saws trust me 660 will run a 36 inch bar on a mill U won't notice the difference in weighting the mills I still run a 30inch bar on the 660 with 48inch rail If u buy bigger than u think u can always run a smaller bar But if u buy the 24inch mill and buy a bigger bar and saw u have the cost of upgrading the mill Save ur self 50pound off the top of my head that's the price of a new ripping on a big bar Hope this makes sence Oh one more little point grandberg chain might be bit more pricey but it worth every penny Think I should be one of the sales team rob
  9. For the extra bit of money if I was u wooded I would buy the 36inch mill as u can alway put a bigger saw on it I first brought the 24inch mill for my 441 Then got a 660 and wished I brought a 36inch mill So brought 48inch rail set Brought 2 076 Now I wish I brought the 56 rails I think the best mill for small saw and big saws is the 36inch mill u have so many different size bars u can play with With out spending more money
  10. Sorry to here that Peter Really gets my back up when scum nick stuff u have worked so hard to buy
  11. How long was it running with the big bore kit on it rover Sorry to see a saw in that mess

  21. I had a job like that 150m of conifer 12ft high use to take me and dad 2 days and get shot of the waste £680 The last year the customer said they had a price for £360 Told her to get on with it ( and as a joke told her to call me if she needed it sorting out after) I see the hedge after they done it lol it looked a mess not a good job at all 4-6 weeks ago I got a phone call asking me to sort it out and cut the hedge this year Turns out the other bloke only done the top and the face side the customer could see This year the job will be about £900 so she ent really saved anything  Oh they do make me laugh most the time there is a reason why prices are alot Cheeper and that comes down to the standard of work I hate losing jobs but my price is my price and its for a high standard of work I will not do a cheep job as all the jobs I get is through word of mouth
