  1. I like watching Ian Flatters vids he has a good head set I don't no what he is using but with a bit of luck he might pop along in a min and tell me
  2. that to me don't look a very strong point weather the machine has bin looked after or not a bend (or weld) with weight banging through it on say speed bumps pot holes etc is going to fail

Pm rob D he will put u rite hes a top bloke and his advise when i started milling was excellent when u but a ripping chain I would strongly recommend grandberg bit more pricey but IMO cuts faster and u get a better finish Do a search for milling pics on here it will give u a good idea of what can be done Cheers martin

  14. that's what I thought about the wasps see what I can find on a climb
  15. just done a little search on here could it be Brownheaded Ash Sawfly (Tomostethus multicinctus)?? but I cant work out why there are loads of wasps floating round the tree if I get time sat/ sunday im going for a climb with a better camera first thing so the wasps are asleep :lol: cheers for your time tony
  16. not many pigeons and I could not see may ants anywhere loads of wasps though witch make me think there is a fly or bug on the tree what ever it is its moving onto the over trees

I have on time to research this tonite as iv got to look after my 6 months old little girl tonite I come across this in one of the big gardens I do tree work and hedge cutting in this ash tree over the last 4 weeks has got thinner and thinner looks like some one or something is eating the leave what ever it is its very destructive just wondered if someone could help me work out what it is sorry if this has bin covered before like I said I have on time tonite to try and work out WHO is eating the ash its started in the top half of the tree as u can see from the first pic its the one on the far left that is thinner than the over 3 ash trees that are there I would be grateful to anyone that cant push me in the rite direction I will upload more pic and I only took pic on the I phone so there not that great cheers martin

  19. this one will have to be done from a boat if i tried to walk in the river i 15 ft deep in no time scuba diving gear then now i need a ms 200t to work under water i no how im going to finish the trunk off now cheers chaps

  21. funny enough mate it is josh lol what I was worried about is wet wood pinching on the bar more than anything so I thought I would ask the Q and see what I could work out and jon im planning to winch the tree out in bits but the trunk is still attached to the root ball and I need to cut the trunk that is under water to free the last bit its 3ish ft DIA so the 076 with 48inch bar it is :lol: oh I was going to use bio oil anyway or I could see if nifty steve has his u900 going
  22. rite I went to price a job today a customer phoned and said he had a tree that had failed :lol: so I get there and its one of the big willows have fell in the river this is my first big river job I now how I want to do the job its just the trunk can I put the bar of the saw in the water to cut it if not I have no idea how to cut the trunk wood up im going to tirfor most the tree out I will post pics later I would say 50 % of the tree is well under water any advice would be great cheers martin
  23. IMO the muck truck is worth every bit of money u spend on it It saves me employing a extra man on some jobs When we first got are one it was a good Q is it worth the money But I use it more and more I would not be with out are one:thumbup:
