  6. drag brush really last job i used my m400 the drag was about 180-200 yards good luck with the draging 3 companys put £1200+ on this job take it was gang of 3 for 2days with the drag i was in there 1-3/4 day and made a nice £950 just had to pay groundy and the rest profit and left the chip by the trees so the gardener could use it :thumbup: arbor trolly to take the wood 20inch max rather drag brush ur choice

  10. use to go every year loked after a big showmans engine called ex-mayor and the majestic but then went self employed in arb no time after that :lol::lol:
  11. u got a mini mill big beach if ur putting wood into 4x4 posts instead of moving the 2ft-3ft slabs just move the slabs of wood 5-6 inchs of the trunk wood and rip the mini mill down it saves with the heavy lifting and u have a 4x4 post straight away for lifting chainsaw milling can be a hard game so try to make it easy on ur body why u cant
  12. that lump of oak u would mill that in half a day mate if u was just starting in milling and took ur time over learning u would do it in a day little things u learn like if u have more than 1 trunk to mill take the first cut off every trunk u have to mill saves to setting the depth up 2-3-4 time etc if the customer wants 2-3and 4 inch bords etc and u have 3 trunks say run a 2 inch cut on all 3 trunks the same with 3inch and 4 inch bords hope that make sence just saves time setting the depths before u get to site try work out what size bar u will need and put the mill together when ur at home for some reasion it always seems quicker at home than on site
  13. table or chair legs rob with the trunk wood as the tops i like elm unions for colour but there hard to mill if the tree has bin dead for a bit

  16. if ur hard at it 10l of 2stoke in a day 6l of chain oil ur day rate and u want money for ur chains the cost of big bars are pricy i started at 150 a day well low went to 180 day better for milling i charge 220-280 a day now u dont want to charge anything less than 200 a day milling all day is hard on the body hope that helps
  17. if ur gear is payed for matty hold on to it see if u can run them together for 2-3 months then u will work out whats best for u bud hope it works out for u
