  1. it was all ready on the ground no gobs
  2. didnt chunk it just took about 2 inches off either side in a v shape, then cut it form either side did wonder how i was do it. when i looked at the job, for some reason it didnt seem that big when i priced it lol i will posts pic
  3. i was cutting a hawthorn hedge in buckden about a year ago, when i felt some stabs in my arm. i stopped straight away, as i thought it was the hedge i was cutting, but i had cut a wasp nest in half, i ran for about 400 yard before they left me alone.
  4. i cut up a poplar 36 inch at the bowl with a o24 with a 16 inch bar it fell over in the wind i had no problem i will post pic tomorrow if u guys want to see them so that 088 should make lite work off that lol
  5. me and my old man over the winter picked up and planted 40 friut trees in 15 litre pots, in a day, stakes and tied them and there is only two dead. i would rather plant bear root stuffin in the winter, for some reason they seem to make a better tree in the end thats what i think anyway

  7. i did wonder about bracin but didnt say just incase i was wrong and looked stupid we use a tree surgeon for the big jobs we do but he hasnt done one for bracin he said it takes to long for what its worth, but as its a beautiful tree i thought i would ask u guys and anyone that would be intrested in having a look please let me no as i hate seein tree taken down for no reason and i will pass your number on, cambridgshire brampton thanks for ur help
  8. so did i do wrong by digin it out i only see it as a bramble was growing out off we only went there to prune the loral hedge
  9. this walnut is the bigest walnut i have seen is as big as any oak round this area it is such a beautiful tree the will need a limb coming out of it soon as it right over the house
  10. this walnut is from a place i work i dug about 18 inch off dirt out of the centre and wondered if there was anything i could do to stop it fillin with water and dirt and try to stop it from rotin out as the limp on the left hand side is leaning toward the house any advice
  11. there was another one near it with the top just cut off so it looks like it has a flat top no shape what so ever. im no expert but i hate seeing trees like this

  13. i would not mind one after seeing that. the steam engine and everything on the low loader must weigh about 45 ton i was well impressed how it got hold off that load
  14. what most impressed me about that rally was a old mog. it got hold off are low loader and draged it off the field like it was not even behind it
  15. i went to a steam rally in wales for the weekend and all it done was rain
  16. just thought i would share the rest off the pic that finished the job today. oh and that nice old pine just stood there waitin for me to take a picture
  17. it ent to bad we do this job once a year we still got more to do. my dads had the job for years as he planted all the box spirrals, etc up

  19. yeh i would agree with the fuel tank the only time i would have the stihl is when its really rough and thick
  20. I have used the stilh, tanaka and a robin. I found the stihl very heavy and I love using the tanaka, I use this for everything. My robin is knackered but thought that it was a good hedge trimmer. If i was to buy a new one I would buy a robin or a tanaka. I hope this helps!
