  1. Sciadopitys im 23 am i classed as the up and coming arborists and have a answered up question with a bit off help from my old man lol
  2. Glyptostrobus pensilis, also known as Chinese Swamp Cypress, Pseudolarix is a monotypic genus in the family Pinaceae. The sole species, Pseudolarix amabilis is commonly known as Golden Larch is this rite to im lerning off me dad as he is more like book that knows everything lol i send my dad on here he will tell u about all the species and cultivaras he ties people at nursery up. so as as we talking about Deciduous Conifers what is the tallist one people have seen. i no off a Metasequoia glyptostoboides that has a 2ft trunk and must bea good 60 ft see if i can get a pic
  3. just asked my dad he said there is 6 diffrent jenera Deciduous Conifers but there are are loads off diffrent types off species and cultivar he said the 6 jenera deciduous conifers are as stated as below i hope this is right Glyptostrobus Metasequoia Larix decidua Taxodium pseudo larix Gingko

  5. the pole saw i just said i have the ARS 5.5meter pole saw iv used it at full length and it really ent easy usein it at full lenght it bounces and bends climbing is easier climbing
  6. pole saw there is only so much u can do with a pole saw i have a ARS 5.5 metre pole saw yes its a really good tool but you can do so much more to a tree by getting in it. if ur crown lifting small trees polw saw are great tools

  16. can u get pic off the ROBINIA mate i hate seeing certain trees pollarded more advice might follow if we can see the tree your looking at
  17. they are really nice trees the 12 that he has they are all about 2-3 inch at the base, i will see if i can get some pic off them and post them. i thought they was really expensive as we but planted 2 20ft birch and they where 50 pound each
  18. rite i no off about 10 big elms round cambs. im only 23 so i dont remember there being loads off big elms i really think there are a lovely tree to look at. so yesterday we turned up on site to plant 12 trees all we new about the job that they where about 14-18 ft tall, they turned out to be elm trees(ulmus americana princeton) the bloke we are working for said they immune to dutch elm disease. now what i want to no is this true, i hope so as he spent 2.5 k on these trees and would like to no what people no about ulmus americana princeton cheers for your help martin

  20. all im trying to find out is what the best 70-80 cc saw i can buy is as i would quite happly go for a stihl as i have about 10 stihl tools from a ms240 to fs 400 blower etc. im a stihl man but bin thinking about husk 372 or 576xp and the makita 7901
  21. ok mate fair point say like for like other wise it ent a fair test. the most common bar i seem to here about is a 25inch bar this is a interesting topic to me as i have a 024 and in looking to get a bigger saw to if people can get vids even if it ent got the maktia 7901 and say has 460 25 inch vs a 25 inch 372xp thats would be great
  22. just wondering if someone had a ms 660, 650, 460, 441 maktia 7901 or a 372xp (any saw challange the maktia 7901) would make a vid on say a 2 ft log say. see what cuts better as some people think it will out cut a 66 and other dont think so and post the vid if its a good suggestion then great if not then sorry
