    ms200t air leak?

seems ok but will double check. cheers.
  2. One of my ms200 starts fine ticks over for about 30 seconds and then picks up revs and dies as if its run out of fuel (tank is full) ive swapped the carb, new spark plug, (checked diaphram and gause filter in both carbs) the replacement carb is from an older saw but i know its good. Ive not swapped thefuel filter as it looks good (and to be honest dont have a spare to hand) and the tank is breathing. Anyone got any ideas:thumbup1: cheers dave.
  3. nice but when are you fitting that harvesting head:lol:
  4. get to the scrappers and find an old austin:lol:
  5. a bit like care in the comminty, meals on wheels. in the end we all end up on the fire:sneaky2: sorry, ill get myself a taxi:lol:
  6. i think we have to face the reality that the humble sycamore is here to stay and in years to come will make up a large percentage of our ancient woodlands. And lets face it the veteren trees that make up our ancient woodlands now are the crappy specimens that had no harvesting value. imo a woodland needs to be managed and worked to maintain its vitality otherwise you will end up with lots of trees suffering from senile decay. i would'nt worry too much about arisings from harvesting, nature will deal with them if its making you a wage and paying for its self it will have a future and one day become ancient.
  7. and the true statistics of how many injuries go unreported:sneaky2:
  8. i once found a titanium false hip in a woodland i was working in:confused1:
  9. In most cases where a CoCs are a requirement it may well be due to the far reaching consequenses that may well arise from operator error to oneself or a third party such as death or serious injury:thumbdown: We've all seen the youtube clips of idiots trying to do what we do and its quite clear that most of them have had no formal instruction of any type. Training is a way to become both famliar whith equipment and also gain some (all be it small) amount of experiense.
  10. If you are working for payment or reward then you are governed by the health and safety at work act. Under such act the use of certain equipment requires a certificate of competence such as chainsaws, others simply require a familiarisation course. This is the only legislation regarding the use of chainsaws. The top handled saws do not have a rear handle so therefor does not comply to British standards for ground use therefor it makes sense that it is only sold to operators with a valid ticket (cs39) to restrict the use of the saw to aerial work which it was clearly designed for:thumbup1:

  14. Keep hold of your money until your budget is £400 and buy a 346xp stay away from anything less:thumbup1:
  15. May be in days gone but nowadays its a more of a novality thing as rearing of game birds has considerably changed.

  20. I think ill get my landy to VOSA and get it re-plated that way I wont ever over load it:lol:
  21. unfortunatly folks at the moment gloves are still a requirement for Lantra training and NPTC assessments. What you do there after is up to you!!!
  22. Lucky old you:thumbup: I had a new rifle built this year, tramped upto to scotland to de-flower it and only seen one roe which did'nt present a shot, none stop rain for 3 days:thumbdown: Ive always fancied a trip to sweden but probably do america first realy want to get myself a coyote:sneaky2:
  23. Nothing to do with NPTC / City and guilds its a training issue. If its a Lantra training course then its an issue to be addressed by them. Is the instructor your training provider or a freelance employed by the training provider? If its the latter speak to your provider, they may well be able to address your concerns:thumbup1: all the best
