  1. The winch is still only pulling 6ton max, 12 ton is exerted only at the snatch block.
  2. 6ton whinch requires 12ton minimum snatch block, plus a 12 ton strop, or greater depending on method of attachment. Simples:001_smile:
  3. Worn needle bearing allowing excess play with the clutch drum.
  4. Not really, you can make it as simple or as complicated as you like:thumbup:
  5. Not noticed any issues as yet 243 ackley should improve throat life and I'm pushing quite light load 80g Berger on top of 40g of varget, use that load for everything and never had any issues dropped a fallow and munty in the same day and meat damage was very minor on both bullet expanded its energy inside with no exit wound:thumbup1:
  6. Good for you. It's all about confidence I usually know I've missed before I've pulled the trigger I now only use one rifle for everything 243ackly Im confident with it and it rarely misses bit messy on rabbits though.
  7. Paper targets then! Shooting foxes in my experience takes more skill than bopping deer from a high seat. I hear what your saying but if your confident enough to heart shoot a fox at let's say 100mtrs then a heart shot on a roe deer at the same range should be a doddle and let's face it most deer are probably shot at less than 100 mtrs when shooting from a high seat and muntjac are about fox size. Shooting Fallow or reds well that's another thing altogether some would argue that .243 cal was not man enough others would argue that with good bullet placement there's no issue .308 would probably be a better choice however my last fallow fell quite dead with an 80g Berger from my .243ackley
  8. Why? Do foxes not deserve the same level of care as deer. There's only one way to learn go out and shoot some!
  9. Give us a job mister:thumbup:
  10. when i passed my driving test i became a driving legend overnight you know:sneaky2:
  11. the last tough guy that decided to have a fight with our cars wing mirrors still cross's the road to walk past our house. it was well worth getting locked up for and no charges pressed:thumbup:

    ms200t air leak?

OK, got to the route of the problem:thumbup:............. wait for it...........it was........ TO BE CONTINUED.............. another dodgy carb:sneaky2:
  15. a lad turned up on monday with a brand new never been run 261 and after 4 hours work the play in the drum bearing was all too noticable
  16. as the air filter sits directcly on top of the carb its going to get fuel deposit, the fuel and saw dust will congeal causing air starvation and loss of power.

    ms200t air leak?

ok checked carb boot, impulse pipe, breather all ok. im starting to think its fuel though so will swap fuel line and filter when i can pick one up, its seems if i catch the throtle as its starts to rev out it will keep running:confused1: Might even try a different carb also. After that its going to spud.

    ms200t air leak?

The little fitting that goes from the main diaphragm chamber to the air filter is the compensation device which regulates the amount of air the atmospheic side of the diaphragm gets depending on how plugged up the air filter is .It allows the saw to run at reduced power level until the air filter can be properly serviced ."intellicarb" Thats the one!!! Anyway fired the saw this morning and left it ticking over for good ten minutes and no problem:thumbup:, however thought id just try it again before locking up and it seems im back to square one:thumbdown:, saw would'nt start at all unless i held full throtle and then ran as if choke was on. More investigation needed i think:001_rolleyes:

    ms200t air leak?

Problem solved. pressure check done and all fine:thumbup1: stripped saw down to check the boot and looked all fine. When i put the carb back on i noticed the rubber pipe from carb into air filter was split so replaced just as a formality not thinking it would be the cause, and hey presto. Saw fires and runs a treat Thanks guys for your info:thumbup1:
