  2. Im not sure....It is really strange wood....and i got covered in white sap when cutting..i think it would need a fair bit of seasoning

  10. I have dug out many conifer roots but was asked how far they stretched out compared to the height of the tree...i know it varies from tree to tree but is there a general rule at all?

  16. this is that i have...Petzl macrograb (12-19mm)....the smaller version is a micrograb (9-13mm)
  17. Yeah its the same looking as yours but has another large hole in the top where the rope is....it says it will take a 19mm rope and my flipline is yale 12mm xtc will take a pic give me a min

  19. I have the same line, 50m purple with pink and blue specs on it....pretty good stuff
  20. another tip i recommend is to be careful where the throw line is when you're throwing.....i recently threw my throwbag and the line went up behind me and into the webbing on my hand and burnt a nice hole....was agony and the customer wasnt too impressed at my language either!!
  21. Right o mate cheers...will give it a try....bit of a pain keep unbolting the bloody thing but doesnt look like it will eat into the rope like i have seen with some of the other guy's grabs
  22. it says 12 -19mm.....and in small print for synthetic rope only.....so its ok to put on my steelcore then fella?
  23. Went into my local forestry shop this morning to buy a rope grab for my steel strop (normally use a prussick) and they sold me a purple Petzl Macrograb....but im not sure whether thats right or not.. can anyone help?
