  13. Has anyone used the "worm" type PTO splitters....i used one for several years on the farm, used to park it next to the heap, or load onto a potato box for delivering (mainly to the boss!!) I thought it was a very fast way of splitting big reems, although tricky on smaller logs
  14. I have an old Weaver seat harness at the mo, its pretty knackered and hurts my hip bones when under pressure...i do like a seat harness but what would you lot recommend to replace it with?

  16. when working the woods you can normally get an idea of the time through the number of re-fuels on the saw.....not far out, when coppicing etc
  17. 357 is the top saw......power to weight, everything about it is perfect....even the colour!!

  19. All i'd say is get some ali sides made or make them yourself, Conifer is heavy chip, with ali sides you will save weight and the lighter chip will be ok in the landy, then when you do Conifers, just make it in to a couple of trips back to the yard....problem solved!

  24. Husky all the way, especially for what you are doing, you cant beat a 346xp/357xp, The echo......ummmm well my mrs was thinking of getting one to dry her hair!!:wave:
