  1. If i owned a MEWP I really wouldnt want to be hiring it out...people dont respect hired out kit and also the maintenance would be ghastly!!
  2. Nooooooo.............dont do it!!!! MEWPS are really cheap to hire here in essex, if there is a tree that is too dangerous to climb i hire the right MEWP for the right situation, still prefer the good old 13mm of rope all the way!!
  3. Yeah, i have a 36ft ladder, a great bit of kit, mainly used for access but great for large conifers and also (when tied) to nip off a quick limb, rather than get a high tie in point and limb walk....always attached to the tree when cutting though
  4. Haha thats a good point.....some1 was about to make a schoolboy error haha
  5. Robust.....and Stihl....haha havnt heard that said since the good old days of the 020:confused1:

  10. the bloody starter cord keeps breaking on my Silky - how can i ever become a pro:confused1:
  11. haha i climb with a first aid kit, my groundie always fills the bloody thing up with condoms though!! Safe climbing i suppose, i also think it could be a good idea to have one on the rope bag too, esp for those of you who dont take one in the tree with you...and as for climbing with a silky only, i hope you have a tube of Savlon on a biner to hand hahahaha
  12. i've never had one of those, but i think my grandad did, he always had his arm in a sling after trying to start the bloody thing haha
  13. You wanna learn how to look after a saw then fella...or send the orange ones to me:001_tt1:

It all seeed a bit too hyped up to me, making it sound like the men are going to war to get killed rather than floppin a few twigs, I would love that job!!!
  17. "how much" followed by "can you do it cheaper for cash"
  18. Ha Ha yeah thats a classic, or "why has that saw got a funny handle"
  19. Or good old Flambards in Helston
  20. "It will grow back.....wont it!??" "can you cut those feathery bits off" "while I have you here......." Just as you pull your rope down "can you take it a bit lower?!!" After loading all the logs on to the truck " Oh can i keep the logs!"
