  1. I have fitted many a bearing on agricultural equipment before but never on a flywheel chipper, i think my local bearing company can get the bearing for me and i was going to have a go myself but i think i will take it to a specialist, thanks for all of your advice, I will get it right first time rather than having a go myself - top advice:001_smile:
  2. Thanks fellas, we have a local bearing manufacturer so i might give that a try, if not i'll give timberwolf a ring. cheers fellas
  3. I had a new engine put in my CH25PH Entec woodchipper last december, and late friday night i think the flywheel bearing went...cant be sure as it was dark and i havnt had chance to get to the yard and have a look.....any advice as to where i could get a bearing from or is it a specialist job...also would it be expensive and where would it be best to take it? Thanks in advance for your replies lads
  4. Pins and needles in hands every morning when i wake up, had a blackthorn cut from my leg that had gone through a nerve, had 4 stiches:thumbdown: and the occasional trapped bollock.....hate it when that happens and nearly burning the friction hitch out to get down to free the trapped nut:scared1:
  5. Will try and get a pic tomorrow, mine is a 25hp V-twin....I dont think the 27hp would work as from what i can remember it doesnt come in the correct shaft size and has a different air filter system that is much taller than mine, so it wouldnt have fitted under the fibre glass top
  6. I have the Entec Ch25PH 6" from 1998, great little machine, it cost about £900 for the engine including fitting and warrenty....i had a couple of head gaskets on my old engine, a bent valve stem and the old girl was getting a bit tired.....will try and get a photo of her

  11. Im after a new climbing rope 36M to replace my New England hi vee..... which would you recommend as the most hard wearing and is there such a rope that is better than others when not used with a cam saver

  14. A re-pollard on a Willow in Essex, hadnt been done for 8-10 years, my ladders are 40ft to give you an idea of the size (no i didnt cut off them!!) The tree had quite a spread as it went over both neighbours gardens! No before photos but one before i took last anchor point out and had a split branch to remove. Had to re-rope three times and lower several branches over the various fences. Also there was a natural spring in the middle of the garden and a long up-hill drag for the groundies
  15. when coming back in from a limb walk i grab both parts of the rope above my prussic and then tend the slack/tighten the prussic when in a better position or where there is something to grab onto...works for me
