  2. What gloves are those Peter?
  3. A re-pollard on a Willow in Essex, hadnt been done for 8-10 years, my ladders are 40ft to give you an idea of the size (no i didnt cut off them!!) The tree had quite a spread as it went over both neighbours gardens! No before photos but one before i took last anchor point out and had a split branch to remove. Had to re-rope three times and lower several branches over the various fences. Also there was a natural spring in the middle of the garden and a long up-hill drag for the groundies
  4. when coming back in from a limb walk i grab both parts of the rope above my prussic and then tend the slack/tighten the prussic when in a better position or where there is something to grab onto...works for me

  7. Nah i dont think this is right, if you go on the husky site you can type in the saw number (eg 1100) and it will have a parts list etc....
  8. Thanks a lot mate, might give that a try in the Spring cheers:001_smile:
  9. Have 2 Hi-lux's a mark 111 and a mark 1V...and my old man has a 2002 L200, both mine wipe the floor with his poxy truck....I think the Hi-lux is king...although i wouldnt fancy one of those newer models to be honest
  10. Thats a great price, may i ask where you got it from and is that the same price for everyone?
  11. Ha Ha yeah mate, it drives fine...but has no MOT.....like your transit, did the same to mine this week in the snow, only i think mine is too big now:sad: It hasnt got the tool area that yours has and looks a bit taller, recon it could get 7cubic metres in there easy!!
  12. A good old fashioned naturally aspirated Diesel 2.4

  17. I agree, still think the 2100 beats them all though, the power and balance and manual oiler too..miss the old girl:sad:
  18. I'd choose the 95 over the 66 anyday, but just down to bad past experiences, same as yourself....have a truce with my 66 at the mo hasnt played up for a while:thumbup1:
  19. Thread should have read: 'Landrovers are awsome, but Jap 4x4's are better'
  20. No offence but i think thats a bit expensive really, when you can get a new one for near £700 without the risk and with warrenty too.....
  21. Mr Ed (the talking horse) takes down another tree:001_smile:
  22. I have heard that you can filter the red dye out of ag diesel using cat litter...never tried it but i have heard that it works - Mog users maybe thats your solution:001_tongue:
  23. So you use a nylon piston stop to remove the clutch, i use a small piece of starter cord and knot it and put that down the bore, does the same thing and is easier and more convenient, also it pays to take the recoil off before putting the clutch back on and tightening, thats what i do with the Huskies anyway
  24. would rather eat my own B******s than do either!!
  25. selling the Hi-lux is almost as painful as using a stihl chainsaw
