  1. so are they/you going to replace the anti vibration rubbers and have them re-assessed? i wonder how the Husqvarnas would come up in comparison....as the antivibration systems are much stronger?
  2. To be honest, i have both, 262, 357,346 in husqy and 011, 034, ms200t, ms660.... I love the 357, less vibration, faster pick up on revs, nice balance and has been the most reliable....prefer using a 395xp over my 660 but the 660 isnt too bad now i have sorted the oil problem and lack of chain tensioniong. The ms200t is the only saw i'd use in a tree, had one of the old box like 020's before that. The 034 and 357 are both from 2002, and the 357 is in a different class seems more powerful (even though both 56.5cc) the chain tensioner on the husqy is on the side rather than the knuckle scraping 034 and the 034 is heavier and vibrates more...I know the ms series are different but im still a die hard Husky man where chainsaws are concerned. The air injection system on the husqys and the anti vibration is why i buy them.
  3. And plenty of pegs to go with them? lol:001_tongue:
  4. Dont listen to Skyhuck...WHAT A GREAT SAW!!!! .
  5. Wow that sounds great....but isnt Vancouver one of the areas which gets the most rainfall!!??
  6. Graeme Mcmahon, Reg Coates, and Bob Willis from the old England Cricket team:001_smile:
  7. Hi there mate, there is an excellent Hire firm near Chelmsford - R.C Boreham 01245231320, they will hire flail mowers not sure about a driver too but their prices are very good...I normally Hire one from my old farm employer when needed but i know even he hires other machinery from Borehams...goodluck
  8. Thought it was just me.... I topped out a fairly big ash tree earlier this year and at 25-30ft there was what looked like a hammer wedge right in the centre!!!
  9. Looks like you've cut the lawn after too many beers Frank...those are about as straight as Michael Barrymore
  10. be careful, i was also approached by a farmer in Essex for the same thing, although he didnt want paying for the wood i found out that he got a grant for the coppicing to be done...i didnt think that was fair if he wasnt doing it himself or paying for it, and as you say the labour would be very time consuming
  11. I paid £65 for 5 litres of glyphosate few months ago, can normally get 20 litres for £200, Sodium chloride is being banned and is unavailable to buy from the end of this month i believe, Bob, SBK was banned as i believe it was linked to cancer but what they sell now is a new formular, and it says that on the side of the container
  12. Top job mate......Its never nice working over gravestones....and all those bodies....makes you even more careful than normal if you get what i mean
  13. Yes - Husky do heated handles.....Iths the "G" on the end of the saw number...eg: 357XPG or without heated handle just 357XP
  14. I have my 357 from 2001 and it still kicks arse:001_tt1:
  15. Yeah, go with the Husky mate, 346 or 357, much lower vibes than any of the stihls i have used, also with your problem i would get the heated handle and maybe some timberland anti vibe gloves?
  16. I bet thats an 8" thick ring there....they always look smaller in photos....that looks like it'd be a perfect log size when split to me.....Loving the 395 there Matty!!
  17. I also have a transit tipper that does the road work....the hilux does the off road and smaller jobs, i know what you're saying though, i try to use that set up as little as possible on the road
  18. It really is......with the weight of an 880 or 3120 they pull themselves through the wood, and all you do is hold the trigger.....i agree its different on a horizontal cut
  19. He seems to know what a decent saw is already
  20. when its in the cut it weighs the same as all other saws
  21. i recon about 80ft
  22. Had mine the same time, bought it for a bargain from a mate who wasnt doing too well, keep it serviced and blades sharp and it does everything i ask of it
  23. I have fitted many a bearing on agricultural equipment before but never on a flywheel chipper, i think my local bearing company can get the bearing for me and i was going to have a go myself but i think i will take it to a specialist, thanks for all of your advice, I will get it right first time rather than having a go myself - top advice:001_smile:
  24. Thanks fellas, we have a local bearing manufacturer so i might give that a try, if not i'll give timberwolf a ring. cheers fellas
  25. I had a new engine put in my CH25PH Entec woodchipper last december, and late friday night i think the flywheel bearing went...cant be sure as it was dark and i havnt had chance to get to the yard and have a look.....any advice as to where i could get a bearing from or is it a specialist job...also would it be expensive and where would it be best to take it? Thanks in advance for your replies lads
