  1. the 66 engine sounds shite anyway....surprised u noticed:proud:
  2. Wouldnt it fall apart and blow away??
  3. My groundie is only 5'5 and cant stand the heat though
  4. having said that though the old Hi-lux pulls it a treat.....with your truckman top you will have trouble getting in to shovel the chips out...mine is open on top...you would get very hot too as the chips heat up...a grain shovel makes the job easier...or my mates tipper lol
  5. Well i dropped off some full loads to a local farmer and filled ton seed bags...it holds four and a half of those:scared:... I cant think of the exact size at the mo but wouldnt want it any bigger!!!
  6. Yeah you have to watch the weight though...had mine a bit heavy many times....but the truck is good as gold mate and the back i build can be fitted in 2 seconds easily
  7. I have a Hilux and made a higher back myself...i have a 6" PETROL Entec machine....and everything else goes on the wood pile but i have gone into partnership with another fella who has a bigger LDV and is a hardworking groundie
  8. Yeah just be careful mate and get as much as you can in writing, even if you are freindly with this guy anything can happen in the future Good luck though
  9. It will take you ages to chip with a small chipper like that...you will end up cutting small branches off branches to fit them in....whereas a bigger chipper will pull them all through...also think about Conifer Willow and Poplar etc which is absolute shite and u cant really sell it as "bucks" so u would be gratefull for a larger chipper. but at the end of the day it depends what you want to get into and where you see yourself in the future
  10. Something i would recommend is to "pay rent" dont ever "do favours" etc to pay for you're yard...it never works in your favour and you always get called on when u dont need it and it can potentially lose you jobs and money.
  11. next time borrow a 390/395 xp:wave:
  12. Really mate??? i am not sure...i was just told by my forrestry supplier that he thought it was the business..... i will keep an eye out now cheers
  13. air injection
  14. If you give a good reason for it being "shite" i would be interested to hear it mate.....?
  15. Whats wrong with the New England Hi-Vee???!!!!
  16. when felling in to a small gap "tighter than a nun's c*nt" When u see an old rough bird "pus*y like a butchers dustbin" To a slow climber "like a smail with a hernea" "Ford Ranger Pickups are clit trucks....Every c*nt has one" "Calm Yourself" "Dry old job" when no tea supplied "as useful as a dick flavoured lollipop!" When someone gets cocky "sit down before you hurt yourself" "I'd hang out the back of her anyday" speaks for itself
  17. the wood is more deadly than the saw if u dont know what you are doing......
  18. It is nice that u are interested and want to learn etc etc but where you said "I want to do the work myself" this is wrong....there should always be two people when using chainsaws...especially in woods and especially on windfallen trees....not only that but its also good to know the map co-ordinates for the wood you're working/nearest major road etc etc incase there is an accident...also if you did get hurt you would need someone to call for help
  19. maybe not like that last picture...that looks friar tucked
  20. I did two like this in October 2006.....warned the customer that the dodgy looking ones might die...They were a little slower growing back but look fine now....
  21. An Englishman, and Irishman and an Aussie are asked to price a crown reduction on a large Oak tree at a development site in London...... The Aussie turns up and looks around at the condition of the tree...asks by how much it should be reduced.... looks at the access and then comes up with a figure of £400 The irishman turns up without asking what needs to be done and says "I'll get ma boys to do that for £100" The Englishman sits outside the area in his brand new truck without even looking at the tree and says to the Site Manager " i'll do it for £2400" "Why ever that much" the Manager says The Englishman replies "Thats £1000 for me, £1000 for you and we'll get the bloody Aussie to do the work!":proud:
  22. Totally agree here...although you can also pick up bad habits if you learn before taking your tickets....my instructor took ages banging them out of me and i only had a few years experience before i did mine...so its 6 of one and half dozen of the other
  23. Like taking a sledge hammer to crack a nut........ I like your style:icon14:
