  1. you need to get the inflamation in check before you can start to heal, so use hot and cold pads to the area to help reduce swelling and promote circulation. The painkillers they prescribe can be very strange but everyones different. Use the anti-inflammatories but never on an empty stomach. Paracetemol and codine is available over the counter which is good for the pain and less heady as the prescribed ones. In the next day or so see if you can get a refferal to a Physiotherapist if not then pay for it it will be a business expense! Physio is the way forward asap with this you won't regret it.
  2. Very difficult to find an opening in spain, I lived in the basque country for nearly 2 years and got some work on green spaces but very little actual treework. did a season pollarding planes which was cool but work is hit and miss and especially now that 50% youth are unemployed and 27% in total of the population are looking for work! You may have better luck in forestry there but pay is low and work is hard. I would move there tomorrow if the work was there so let me know if you find anything especially in the basque region.
  3. Hi, go smart but not overboard and let them know that you have all kit in car if they would like you to demonstrate your competence. Have a shave if needed and don't be late. Good luck.
  4. Well done, check out ghs or sawbits as they stock loads of non patent parts.
  5. Elten fellmasters. Around £90 I use these all the time and a pair will last for 18months plus. Very comfy and have never had a blister from new. One very important accessory with boots to prolong the life of any boot is a long shoe horn or you will find the backs go after constat on off.
  6. I have just read this and can not believe it!! What an ignorant decision by an obviously backward thinking board, one way to lose business hand over fist. Seeing as my local dealer is now 20+miles away i'll be looking elsewhere.
  7. Hi, I'm looking to fill up spaces that are cropping up in the diary. Anyone based in the Kent or East sussex area that has a need for subbing out some work or extra crew for jobs then please contact me by PM or call 07817191055. I hold relevant tickets to cs39, mewp, clean pre 97 license, truck and chipper and common sense. I can take on any task to a high standard and have many testimonials from clients. Seems to have gone a bit quiet in the last few weeks and queue of work coming to an end so putting this out there before that arrives!! many thanks Dave
  8. I am and have been using the new non original ms200 piston and cylinder kit supplied by mike at sawbits.co.uk comes with a 12 month guarantee and it has been running for 6 months now. I would not fit a piston to a old cylinder if not the same manufacturer. the cost of the kit is £65.00. are you sure its not carb playing up as this is easily fixed with a drop of epoxy resin.
  9. The stihl basic ones are good to. got fed up paying £170+ for rubbish trousers that rip once a bramble touches them. The type A stihl basics retail for around £70 have had them for 6 months and are lightweight, comfortable and better value for money than all other more expensive ones I have bought.
  10. How about trying to season the wood for longer??
  11. If the quote is accepted then whereever the road takes me.
  12. Would like it done if poss either towards the end of this week or beginning of next. Access is easy its mulching a verge along a driveway. up and down a couple of times in all honesty 2 hours tops. give me a call if you can on 07817191055 or leave me your mobile. I'll try kent plant hire too as posted by someone else.
  13. I am in need of a tractor mulcher for 1/2 a day in the Canterbury area. Anyone know of someone that has one? Any suggestions welcomed, Happy new year folks. Dave
  14. This is such a great reply, best advice for your predicament by a mile:thumbup1:
  15. Just a heads up to all you out there who have a broken ms200t engine and don't want to pay the stihl price for the replacement. New to market with 12 month guarantee on parts for £90 you can get the piston and cylinder kit which I have recently fittted to mine and its running sweet. These were specially machined and the finish is great anyone wanting details of where to get them then pm me as I don't want to upset anyone. ps. before any negative comments re nonstihl part, be sure that you don't use other spares for your trucks etc:001_smile:

    Bee's

no wonder the bee population is in decline!!
  17. I would say just sensible pricing not extortion for brand!!
  18. The person I was talking with was saying about an Agent from Aston Martin bought one such root ball and paid £16k for it so it seems its a case of Who you know and not what you know or think you know. I have a couple of substantial ones to come out and as always with me I try and give my clients the best info possible and they would pocket the prize minus a good drink.
  19. I was talking with someone the other day and they said that Apparantly the root of the Walnut has a sort of bulb which is used to make veneer for top end luxury products and therefore commands a top price if extracted. So I have 2 questions, 1) Is this a fact? 2) if So does anyone know any buyers. Thanks, Dave
  20. cheers guys, Hire station used to run them, hadn't tried brandons. Got a branch up the road.
  21. Hi, does anyone have one of these in the kent area for hire, the model that can be towed?? need one for 3 days, I am able to get other machines but the firms i use don't have this and I specifically need this or equivalent. Cheers, Dave
  22. It's all about what life you really want to have, I know an excellent roofer who is an expert in old buildings and always has loads and loads of people asking him why not expand and run more teams as he is a 2 man set up. His philosophy is " I am more then happy with the house I live in, the family I have and my work/life balance. Why change it and add more stress?" A wise man and good advice if thats what boat you want to be in. If you have a larger company then I'm sure you will find these factors all being disturbed.
