  1. Thank you all for the input, the bag is unplugged now and no accidents!! A great relief as a 4 mile walk to nursery would have been tough! You can close the thread if you like mods.
  2. Being that I'm not in the pink shirt wearing brigade then the lippy shouldn't appear!!
  3. Cheers Dean, I'll give it ago this week and let you know the result!!!
  4. That is an unlucky accident whilst trying to help someone. I think I'll exclude the crashing the truck option and get the bag unplugged. would it be wise to disconnect battery first?
  5. Just checked under the seats and nothing there. However took out the glove box and found this. It would seem that the plug is on the right of this shot and I presume this would disable it. My only worry would be it may still go off?? Any thoughts welcome.
  6. I want a garage to do it just finding it difficult to find someone who knows about it . There is no way I am taking her in the truck if I can't disable it. I would rather walk the 4 miles than risk it. Just the other day sitting in traffic a women ran into the back of me! damaged the tow bar but unfortunately it wasn't hard enough to set the bags off or it would have been problem solved!!
  7. Thanks for this, would unplugging this disable the bag or is it a sensor for the seatbelt?
  8. The problem with cutting the wiring is that won't this automatically set off all airbags. This is what some garages have said. also pulling the fuse may result in same thing. I'll look for the sensor, is this linked to the belts?
  9. Marcus, as a rough guide you can if you like by it from site as metre cube stacks at £22.

or if you prefer then you can do the weigh bridge and have it as cord lengths at £35 a ton.

  10. Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone knows how to disable the passenger airbag on a Ranger? It does not have a switch and am trying to find a solution, the main ford dealer say they are not sure if you can so asking if anyone knows how to? also if it is disabled will it effect the seatbelt tensioner on said side? Need a solution as got to drop daughter to nursery in May and got to use the truck to take her.
  11. I would send it to answer machine and respond when I am "working".
  12. what poles do you have? quite a few on the market? I have one for the telescopic set that horizon supplies sell. welcome to use it if its the same set.
  13. I wouldn't pay more than £150 for it.
  14. Is there access to the rear of garden over a fence?? if so get it delivered on a truck with a hiab on it and get them to lift it in over the fence past the patio. Job done!
  15. Very easy to fit what have you got a km85r or similar i would imagine, it comes complete and all you need to do is take of casing around engine, also open up where the throttle is and disconnect from there and put in new one, as easy as changing a bicycle brake cable. As jonesie says give him the make and model and go from there
  16. Nice one son!
  17. Tommer has a point that on utility work there are a lot of crews with a bad reputation but don't buy into this you can still do a good job and obtain a wide variety of experience especially dealing with targets. And when you come off the lines then targets are easy to deal with.
  18. If you truly want and need the work the travel won't matter. You price this into the job/ wage you expect.
  19. why not go on utility work, you will get the cutting experience and any further training required. Brockwells are based just outside heathfield and always recruiting or another to try not utility is glendale also cleartrak. Get the experience first then go alone.
  20. Nice one Steve, I will note your details, took a long time for a person to surface but " one mans trash is anothers treasure"
  21. Hi marcus,

thanks for your message, I have tons of chestnut which is ideal for a wood burner and you are welcome to collect or arrange haulage to you. give me a call on 07817191055 and we can go from there.

    Dave

  22. Hi I don't know where you are based but if you want a supply of chestnut ( ideal for burners) then let me know. I am in kent and can supply you cored lengths to collect or you can arrange haulage. Dave
  23. Got a job just like this starting on the 22nd March, 2 Ash trees lifting the pavement and owner was notified by highways to deal with them or they would and bill him. To add to the dilema both trees have 3 phase LV lines going through them so I've got a shutdown of electricity on the monday with traffic lights blocking one side of the road, we will dismantle both trees that day, leaving all the debris to be dealt with the next day as time is money with the electricity off. then day 2 burn all the arisings leaving any logs for client. Day 3 will be grind out stumps, apply glyphosate and then the highway boys will relay the path. If it all comes off to plan then day 4 will be in pub! In your case if it's housing association then just tell the guy to ring them, it is not his responsibility or call yourself offering your services to maintain all their treestock!
  24. I would love to vote on this poll but the options are limited. they are positive or negative, I think an option of " I feel being AAAC is of no benefit to my business" should be there. I am a CAC ( client approved contractor) which to me means more and generates more work for me than belonging to a body which is aimed at large contractors.
  25. I know that stretch of Bewl water, we did some just up from that about 6 years ago did you look at it, were you with Martin Atkins?
