  5. There's drivers and screwdrivers Phil!! How about a tracked mewp???
  6. DO NOT BUY OREGON SUPER COMFORT if you would like more than a weeks use out of them before looking like a year old trousers. Recently got some to try out and regret big time buying these. one walk in the woods and a bramble will rip them up and if you have bonfires then don't go near. The only good thing about them is the comfort aspect apart from that I now call them bosses site visit trousers. ie he can look good in them if he doesn't actually do any work in them.
  7. The family,The places we work, customer feedback and being self employed.
  8. HI Mick, nice one for that, gave them a ring and they were over £100 cheaper than the others so happy days for the client on that. Very wet today so went off pricing and jet washed the truck as it was becoming caked in mud from previous few weeks off road work. Nice boat by the way, where have you got that? Conyer? Dave
  9. Hi all, I'm looking to hire a tracked mewp for a job in kent got some prices off panther and facelift just wondering if anyone knows of anybody else that hires them in kent on a day rate. Thanks Dave
  10. Excellent work there Simon, what wood did you use?
  11. 12st 6lbs but rises thro winter to around 13st then the PPE summer diet plan gets me back down!
  12. Thats good to know, thinking long term savings if we were to become loler cert'd then after a few self tests we would regain the outlay and then no longer have this expense every 6 months. Worth thinking about especially smaller firms with someone willing to do it.
  13. Can a loler inspector loler his own kit?
  14. Don't kniow if you have a Hire Station where you are. If so then I'm getting grinders from £40 a day and Timberwolf chipper for £80 a day/ £300 a week. They are national and are in my experience hard to beat for price.
  15. Go to any fabric shop and you can buy patches for under a fiver, iron them on and job done!

  21. Having joined the club 4 months ago I must say you will find it harder to get out the door in the mornings when your beautiful daughter is smiling and responding to the love you give her. Enjoy this precious time and congratulations to you, your wife and welcome to the world Olivia.
  22. On average I would say about 250 miles a week.
  23. PM sent
  24. Hi Guys, Havn't been on for a couple of days very busy working and quoting. Anyway an update is 1. Thanks Phil for the consultants number. The client is up for spending some money on a proper report with a view to appeal the TPO and replace with a suitable specimen. Initially we will be having a meet with the TO and try to avoid this and hope common sense prevails through the DDD avenue. If not then the consultant can come in. The 15% reduction that was granted had a condition that no additional pruning could be done on the tree for 5 YEARS! so beggars belief given the tree species to do it at all. Thanks for the input and will keep this posted with any more info as and when I get it.
  25. will get something together for you Mike. I am self employed so don't have one but will send a history etc of work.
