  1. I see what you are saying but if it were me i would find out what they intend to do with the rest of the tree, As i said before you might get some more work out of it, You never know some rogue trader might have priced to do work on all trees but haven't got a clue about tree surgery, Or there could be a genuine reason as to why it's not been completed yet, You never know till you ask.
  2. Collins tree guide is the one for me, Good handy book
  3. Thinking about it there's no way anyone would leave the poor tree in that state, Hopefully there's a good reason why the work hasn't been completed but it could be that they where incompetant, It could be worth finding out though, You might even get the rest of the job & more:001_smile:
  4. Drink red wine, You become immune to it:001_smile:

  12. I've had my motion for 2 months now & i can honestly say it's the best harness i've used so far, Even though it took me a week or two to adjust to my likeing, I would try & sell it to the people i work with or keep it with you & build up an ariel rescue kit. If i were to purchase a harness off ebay i'd want a Loler certificate with it even if it was brand new, Just to be on the safe side.

  17. Good call Matt, Better to be a safe climber than dead one, I know that if it doesn't feel right it's time to get down.
  18. My biggest fear when i started climbing were trusting my anchor point & snatching out tops, Ten years on & the fear's still there
  19. That is an absolutly brilliant piece of work, alot nicer than removing the tree completly:)

  24. I wore a jacket once, It lasted till i got to the top of the tree, Found it very hot, Restricted my movements, Found it harder to climb so for me i guess it was safer to climb without it.
  25. When i'm not playing in trees i'm looking at trees & when i'm not looking at trees i'm teaching my kids to play in trees while i'm looking at them, Too much red wine i think:wave:
