  1. That is one of the best i've seen for a long time, well done.
  2. The start of 15 Dead, Dying, Diseased & Dangerous Oaks to be felled for Crawley Borough council.
  3. Also when wearing hi-viz, i think if you are working on a road with a speed limit over 30mph they have to cover your arms as well.
  4. Yep heard that too, If you close a footpath you must provide a safe alternative route. I think that if someone has to cross the road because of your worksite and gets injured or worse by traffick, you re deffinatly in the shite.
  5. Last year on a sunday we had to take down a dangerous Ash tree for west sussex highways, We had a road closure for the morning as the Hoist we were using took up most of the road and there was no where else to drop the tree. We had barriers & signs all over the place and about half an hour into the job we had what looked like the tour de france cycling through the worksite. Also dog walkers and the odd jogger. We told them to read the signs & they shouldn't remove barriers as there is an alternative route for their safety but all we got was abuse.
  6. Very nice, i like your work.
  7. Excellent work Steve, I too would have preferd to use a mewp, nice pictures as well.
  8. What's the point in that? Why come on here winding people up? You wont make alot of freinds here if you annoy people.
  9. If you read through the thread you should read a couple of times that you thought it was alright and you didn't know what was wrong with it.
  10. You are right there, i've seen some bad work from reputable companies, I'm just alittle annoyed that you couldn't see what is wrong with the prunning on the birch, there was no thought for the tree at all. You have to have an understanding & love for trees. I guess that to some people it's just a job & they just want money, To others trees are agreat importance.
  11. I'm a forman arborist, I've been climbing for 10 years, Anyone who thinks that the birch tree was prunned ok hasn't got a clue & doesn't care about trees.
  12. I think you need to go to college as you think there is nothing wrong with the way the birch tree was prunned.
  13. I hope you're down your local celebrating.

Nice work, really impressive, Thanks for sharing with us.
  15. OK but that birch is crap work
  16. How's that common sense?
  17. So if you've got your tickets how comes in the forum under the thread lowering ropes you say that you lower off using the end of your climbing line. I nether got taught that one.
  18. How did you get your tickets if you're self taught?
  19. I think you should call yourself Dodgy
  20. Maybe, you progress more on the job though. You would learn how to prune correctly at college.
  21. In what parks have you seen trees prunned like that birch? What's youre name? Jon?
  22. Same as, Got to be a wind up.
  23. If i'd pruned a tree like that i'd loose our parks contract & we'd be stripped of our Arb Approval, Then i'd proberbly be hung.
  24. Good luck dude, Hope you do well.
  25. Who taught you to prune trees this way?
