These are the books that i'm reading at the moment & i recomend them all, Diagnosis of ill health in trees, The body language of trees, The principles of tree hazard assessment & management, The art & science of practical rigging & collins tree guide, Some from treesource & some from amazon.:wave:
  2. I'd chain him to the containers for the night, cover him in jam & let the dogs have fun.

  4. I would leave the tree as well, Unless there was a real danger to anybody, Best off doing things correctly when it comes to nesting birds plus i think owls are awsome.
  5. I find this forum a great source of information & i think all you guys on here are great, If i read something that i thought were a little untrue i would just ignore it. Those persons always get found out in the end.

  8. Nice pics, For me this is one tree i hate to work on, I had to dismantle one a couple of months back, Lowered nearly every piece down over phone wires. Very delicate & long day.:wave:

  11. Not sure, I've been working on Crawley Council trees for 10 years & it was the first time i've worked on this tree.

  13. Hiya all, Here's a couple of before & after pictures of a red oak tree which i reduced last week.:wave:
  14. Had to reduce an oak today with the pole right under the tree with about 10 wires coming from it. Had to do half with hoist & climb the other. One of the hardest jobs i've had, really hard to lower through & no room to use hoist, Cheers B.T.

  16. You couldn't have taken that tree down any other way, Hoist was the only way.Oh yeh & the reason we were on your patch was because you can't handle a take down like that lol.:wave:

  18. That has got to be one of the worst felling vids i've seen, I'm sure he cut through the hinge & no talk on safety, what a joke. They shouldn't be allowed on the web.
  19. Been stormy in Sussex, Been out for nearly 12 hours, Had to climb a biggish conifer down the coast, The root plate was moving & the tree was going sideways, Still crapping it now. Been down as far as Bognor Regis clearing limbs.
  20. Hiya mate, Just got in been out since 7, 12 hours & i'm nackerd. Expecting to go back out tonight so an early one i think.
  21. You hit that a bit hard, are some of them topping cuts? lol, Good to see you tried to retain the trees natural shape.
  22. Nice job & nice pics, I'm getting the feeling B.T can't be botherd with tree surgeons, not just in sussex.
  23. yep, The only time they want to turn up is when you break one.
