  1. It will be quite some capacity if it's what I think it is. They plug them into the aircraft to run the hydraulics system so a Log splitter would be no problem? It would probably run quite a few
  2. I've called the police at least thirty times in the last five years, from things ranging from drug dealing to indecent exposure to abduction and attested murder ( I live in a nice spot (-: ), the quickest response time I have ever had is 30 minutes the slowest is three days
  3. I think this sums it up nicely, utter stupidity, even carry out such actions knowing it is being recorded in the first instance
  4. One thing I remember well about that place is the majority of the women are stunning, whereas here it's the opposite. Walk round veliko and 8/10 you would marry, walk round leeds and 8/10 you would want to take to the vets Just to be PC, I,m sure there,ll be not so many skinheaded, tattooed ugly blokes over there as there are here
  5. Barrier cream ... I did start wearing gloves, not because of the fear of skin cancer, but because I have got used to having nice clean hands and skin again. Problem is I went through half. Box of them on the landy engine change. Now I wear those really thin electronic anti static gloves, they sat for ages
  6. Gloves ? Is that those blue ones the doc wears for anal digital examination ? I think I'd still prefer the vasaline to spray grease in that case
  7. A little off topic re Arb but just a heads up if you have your equipment serviced. Over the last few years I have been dismayed at the level of skill today's mechanics have in diagnostics, if the computer doesn't tell them the fault code they are basically stuffed. I had three problems with my Toyota Amazon which Toyota couldn't find and I did. Today, my Daughters car broke down again for the third time with an electrical fault ( turn ignition key nothing at all), same fault it has been into Seat for twice and it has just had a service last week. My immediate thoughts were battery terminals, main fuse, loose earth. Now whether a modern day mechanic or old school or just a basic grasp of mechanics ( as many on arbtalk would be) it is the fundamentals, the basics of mechanic ing, something you should always check and be the first thing you check Guess what? Loose positive terminal....and I mean wobbly loose. Took me 10 seconds to find. The car has been on diagnostics at seat.....couldn't find the fault It's been serviced twice in the time the intermittent fault has been happening. Correct me if I,m wrong but when I used to service cars and trucks part of the service was to Vaseline the battery terminals. I really do despaired sometimes, some of these "technicians" are in possession of diplomas or degrees.
  8. Are some of those shots Veliko Turnova Tony, they look familiar
  9. One problem the shoot may have is the "guns" taking notice of the safety brief. If they are having new guns on each shoot day they can't vet everyone of them. One gun may be undesirable and not invited back, problem is you don't know till you have seen them shoot. The brief can say not to shoot in a certain direction, or take birds infront before they are overhead. Whether they abide by the instruction in the heat of the action is another matter. This is one of the reasons we have member guns on our shoot that are vetted and are known to be safe. I still brief the guns before each drive, what direction the birds will come from, where the next gun is, houses, footpaths, arcs of fire etc etc etc. Th only problems we have is normally from guest guns
  10. I've got the 18t, not had any bother with it at all
  11. The above is correct, keep shot within the boundary or at least make every effort to try and keep it within the boundary. We have a golf course next door to our shoot and occasionally we do get the wind taking shot onto the golf course despite shooting within our boundary. If you shoot straight above you the wind may carry the shot some distance. I always carry a golf ball in my pocket, as shoot captain I get the flack from the golfers but now when I get one shout me over, I pull the ball out as I'm approaching and ask if the ball is theirs. It kind of gets them realising that they litter our land with golf balls, it's not just a one way street
  12. I,m hoping to go totally off grid subject to me getting planning for the building. I was quoted £140k to get electric to site so didn't even bother asking gas. Electric - solar, wind and genny backup and our lass peddling a bike should all fail Heating - logs, solar with LPG backup Cooking - logs and LPG Hot water - logs, solar, LPG, electric in that order
  13. Hahaha...it is tiny, but it goes where no others will. I can actually do a three point turn on my drive and the cab is surprisingly spacious
  14. David, you are using my favorite mewp I bought EMA from Ebay, I was just browsing through and happened upon it. I instantly realised its potential on the advertisement front. Problem is there are quite a few for sale but they are going for good money, mine needed a battery pack so I got it cheap but I was double lucky in that I got one that had only 800 mile on the clock Do an Ebay search for aixam mega and you should see some for sale
  15. I feel sorry for your log splitter, I bet it has a hard life
  16. We get as much efficiency as we can out of our stove, for example installing a big creel above it and drying one to two load of washing per day which saves tumble drying in winter plus boiling the kettle and boiling the spuds Factor the saving and it brings down the cost somewhat, the actual figures I don't know
  17. What do you reckon the costs would be to heat your home via logs ? Once my burner is lit, it burns 24 hours a day. Over night it burns on tick over and also when no-one is in the house we have it on tick over. I,ve been keeping tabs on how much we use and I reckon if we had to buy our logs, it would be cheaper to run on gas I estimated £10 per day in logs to heat our home
  18. There'll be no need for all that anyway, there are two big pumps on it, there'll be adequate flow when I pipe them together
  19. Bit like selecting super low on the tractor, the drive goes through a lot of hers and cogs, but imagine the torque
  20. Sorry never saw this post.. I think the engine is only a 15-20 hp Using the one of the motors to turn the original pump is quite feasible, I,d just have to connect it with pulleys and a belt to get the speed ratio correct. Good idea as a back up plan..thanks
  21. A snitcher motorcycle alarm wired to a car battery ( lasts twelve months on one charge.) and for the trigger use one of these ( again lasts 12 months on one set of batteries) FT25B photo cell. FT25b = Battery Powered Photocells details. Snitcher = http://www.bikealarms.net/Info/snitcherug.pdf
  22. Just this minute had exactly that, but with the added, " I need it doing very soon" This customer I have worked for twice before and just goes to prove my previous statement, people who ring out of hours turn out to be the nobs who you don't really want as customers. Thing is, they don't even have any trees, just shrubs
