  1. Mine was the 5 speed auto, I found it very reasonable on fuel unless our lass was driving it
  2. Driven carefully they use no more than my defender and are excellent on a run, they even use less than others if towing as they are playing with he load. Go as New as you can afford though as parts are extremely dear
  3. ...and having to drag a chainsaw around with you
  4. We do a lot of domestic fruit tree pruning and restoration, on Friday I did two different jobs and pruned about eight trees, never even took a chainsaw with me. Using a chainsaw would be like using hammer to knock a screw in.
  5. Filled a bulk bag then transferred into Telula = a nice level load. Sixty quid delivered locally I reckon
  6. That is very nice, well done, I'd be chuffed to bits with that
  7. Surely if the neighbours are objecting / declining permission to fell /prune then they are admitting some degree of ownership. It may then be advisable to ask them what degree of ownership they consider they own that gives them the right to object / refuse
  8. A clause can be arranged with planning that the house cannot be sold, it can remain so long as they and their family are residents of the dwelling.
  9. Sorry John, I have to partly disagree...the animal rights yobs should have had enough knowledge to know the devastation they would cause by releasing them. There must have been another way to protest
  10. I cycle on there regular and can guarantee to see one
  11. Just a few mm so it locates and then a method of holding it in place so that when I pick the legs up on the mewp, they stay on the legs and i can move along without constantly having to pick up and move the pads
  12. Again, the minks bad name can be put down to animal activists releasing them from mink farms. I remember when they were released from a farm near me, there were four in my back garden a couple of days later and it took at least a decade for the local wildlife to recover. The mink ( in unnatural numbers) wiped out everything Way to go animal rights, 20 years on and we are still having mink problems
  13. Haha...I,m already looking for my router bit to hollow out the exact shape of the foot
  14. When they came today I thought about you Peter, I don't know why but I thought you may be still using chunky rounds.
  15. Same both sides David just flat. They were from TVH and were £20 each, then add transport and vat they worked out at £130 for four.
  16. My big chogs of wood are getting a bit chewed, got an email with these on offer at half price so thought what the hell, supposed to be good for ten tonne each
  17. If he advertised 0.7 cube of logs that is what you should get If he advertised a 0.7 cu/m builders bag full of split Logs, that is what you get.
  18. I think he just admires it and dusts it off every now and again
  19. Monkey Shoulder is very very nice, too "drinkable" for my liking, could end up a pish head on the stuff, hard to put down
  20. We'll it's failure on the first attempt, cuttings still fairly green after 9 week but the stems are mouldy and rotting with no sign at all of rooting Trying this time with fastigiata and the old trick of soaking willow cuttings in the water for 48hours, I'm hoping the powerful rooting hormone in the willow will kick start the yew
  21. I think in the domestic market a helicopter would be my most used tool
