  1. Saying there is an ultimate Arb truck is like saying there's one paint brush to suit all applications. There isn't one truck that suits all. Mine does me for 70 percent of my work, some jobs I wish I had an 18 tonner, some a tractor, others I wish I had an helicopter
  2. Next two instalments, one the recommendation of Mr Felix Chopper I,ll give you my verdict when my head clears tomorrow. I haven't even had a drop yet and mi photos upside down
  3. Don't mention landrover, you'll never get a job
  4. I find them fascinating too, I can't wait for the day they prove what the universe is, that we are just like insignificant bacteria on a grain of sand, that there is no God and then chuckle to myself thinking of all these suicide bombers that thought they were going to the promised land
  5. Good idea, get the bike, stick it in the boot, drive to within 100 yards, get the bike out, arrive at the job, say hello, do the survey, bike back in the boot and off you go
  6. Do you want to borrow Telula ?
  7. Caption....Haaaa, want to see my yard ? Come with me.....it's just through here
  8. I,ve already confronted 5 the first time and four the second, I don't have a problem confronting people. I act first and think about it later, they are on my land trying to steal my equipment, that to me spells no holds barred. I will worry about the consequences afterwards
  9. I like the idea of that party game It matters not if they find or nick the camera, it will have taken numerous photos and video of them....if they wear a hood, it still matters not as I will be there in about 1 minute after my phone alerts me The good thing about this system is that if someone does happen upon it, it has already sent the vid or photos and stored them elsewhere. You can get a security box for them too which will slow them down long enough to get there if you live further afield.
  10. Haha, don't forget the 14lb sledge hammer too Eggs
  11. Ditto, two of the holes are for tightening and hold in place, one is for winding off, but not the one your pointing to, you can't spread the inner with the outer tightly in place.
  12. Any ideas ideas for plants are welcome, thank you
  13. I,m glad it's worked for you Chris, the problem is it doesnt matter how big the box, they still seem to fill very quickly
  14. There were a few of us at a show a few years back when we first saw the iveco, unless it was the short wheel version it didn't look as though you could get any decent size box on it, do they do a long wheelbase version of it now Chris ? The one at the show didn't look as if it would fit my landy box on and the small size of the payload area was a comment everyone was making.
  15. I can't think of any advantage a transit has over my defender, I can think of loads the defender has over the transit. As for the iveco, it's no good having payload if you haven't got volume and you also have to have a huge turnover to make the capital investment pay
  16. Just ordered 800g of this mix Campanula medium,Centaurea,Cheiranthus,Collinsia, Cosmos bip,Cynoglossum,Dianthus barb,Echium,Eschium,Eschscholtzia, Hesperis,Lavatera,Lunaria,Phacelia,Anethum,Eurca,Plantago Trifolium,Iberis,Cheranthus alionii,Foeniculum,Calendula,Agrostoemma eoeli I have a soil mound at my yard which has a surface area of about 1/4 acre, I plan to scatter it with seed so should look cracking next year
  17. Saw this the other day, bees were going mad for it, want to know what it is so I can put some on my wildflower area at my yard
  18. I hate my landy Jon, it's cramped, uncomfy and slow but bugger me it pays its way, can't fault it for that
  19. I,ve towed a 44 ton fully loaded artic with the defender
  20. Stick the chipper on the back of the ford and let's see it do better. Towing dead weight is a struggle for any motor
  21. No I don't think you can rob, but most motorbike garages will have one. You may need to remove the head / cylinder and just take that bit in, it's literally a two minute job to fit a helicoil then
