Yes thanks - have now changed that - we don't have much demand for Cannon bars these days - I think the Sugi are better bars and a better price. The C1 mount is a multi mount - not dedicated to Husky - it seems odd Cannon don't do a dedicated K095 style mount unless I'm missing something and they now do one. This mount does not work with some Husky saws like the 550XP and 560XP. But Cannon carving bars seem to be tougher.... so we will continue to stock those.

Sorry to here it eggs - it's good to see plenty of positive posts and encouragement on here when people need it. It almost makes it harder when all the boxes in your life are ticked. As you can then kick yourself with thoughts of 'I have no right to feel this way looking at my life'. It's probably in all our basic make up - our resting state is to be unhappy - for survival. If we were happy and content then we wouldn't do much... In our country we have most of our basic needs met - it actually takes away meaning in our lives. (my missus has been a therapist for 16 years and the above is from her). So I suppose what I'm saying is don't be hard on yourself - just because it seems like you have everything you need in life doesn't mean you will feel fulfilled. It's normal for us all. Often with depression we get down and then finish the job by constantly telling poisonous nonsense to ourselves... that is something in you can control. Give yourself a break.

That's a great technique -but you're a bit reliant on the timber being straight and true to start with and a bit fiddly with all the nails and getting them the same height. But I suppose you could free hand flatten a knobbly log and still use it.

We are very close now to producing our own first cut system... very close! It will come in 1.5m lengths (with an option of 3m lengths if you are mainland UK) and should be very easy to clip together. Will have several options as how you fix to the log. Will be cheaper and better than the current EZ rail system (for a basic 3m system that does not join together ie comes as 3m lengths rather than 1.5m) price will be around the £180-00+vat. Not quite £7-00 but I think folk will be happy with what they get.

We are changing a few things on the Alaskan soon - one of these is the old style cast bracket is being replaced. This is causing a few supply issues. We should have more in 10 days.

Good on you sir - never knew that wee gem of advice a godsend on longer bars and milling will have a look at my own saw. Serves us right really as mainly we are all lazy buggers who would rather do absolutely anything than read the manual properly

Actually I don't know - it states 20000 mAh but I don't believe that! It will do a good few sharpens and we are looking at other versions to see which is best.... not all work to power the grinder.

Yep we have 42" bars for the MS661 and we have skip link chain to go on there not cheap but there you go..... ST2T-3Q104-A Sugihara Pro Solid 42" 3/8 .063 132 drive links - Chainsawbars

Yep it has got pretty complicated with the 1/4 .043 chain in summary: MS150T: Stihl 10" 3005 008 3403 (56 drive links) and runs the Stihl 3670 1/4 .043 chain. GB 10" fits (58 drive links) and runs the Stihl 3670 1/4 .043 chain. No Sugihara bar or chain will work with this saw - Sugihara A4S chain does not go round either the drive sprocket of the MS150T or the nose sprocket of the Stihl bar or GB bar. Echo 2511TES: Stihl 10" 3005 008 3403 fits (57 drive links of Stihl 3670 chain only) GB 10" fits (59 drive links Stihl 3670 chain only) Sugihara 10" (60 drive links of Sugihara A4S chain only - although we may have another chain shortly that works on this bar) As for what's the best combo? - similar answer to which is best saw Stihl or Husky or how many sugars make a cup of tea the best cup of tea The Stihl chain cuts smoother and cleaner than the Sugi chain which cuts more aggresively and bounces a little more in the cut. But does not seem to suffer from bar wander - probably because it takes a little wider kerf... but that's a guess!

May be a combination of factors that cause this - it is a fiddly chain to sharpen well but the cleaness of cut can't be doubted.... suppose it is all about compromise. We have the GB mini bars that run this chain - seem thicker and better built than the Stihl bars and are cheaper if you want to try an alternative. Sold a few of these little GB bars but not had all that much feedback on them. It's a little bit annoying how they take 58 drive links not 56. Overheating the saw can also cause the piston to score and seize. We have only ever had x1 echo warranty - and it was fixed no quibble under warranty.

It's hard to win with a conifer hedge - keep it super tight they seem to be vulnerable to patches dying, let them grow tall and no matter what you do the result is an eye sore! Bay hedges - that's where it's at! - lovely smell, dense, you can hit them hard and they recover, don't seem to get full of white fly...

Keep with it Steve - in the end people will list their gear - but it will take more than asking once.... or twice.... or ... I'll add it to a newsletter again.

You may have to watch the bar does not chip at that point.... But I expect it will keep on going with no issues.

Ditto - I used Steve Cull when I had a bandsaw as well as the Ripper blades he sells. He's a saw miller himself and uses what he sells. Sharpened by bands for around £7+vat I think it was.

I would go down the route of offering a service to others - selling timber is the hardest thing to do.

501SX I would say - it is one of the new modern Echo saws and a little cracker!

Nice work - bandsaws are amazing particularly after you are used to chainsaw milling!
