  1. Sounds good what you're doing. I'll keep an ear to the ground if I hear of anyone who may be suitable. Any chance of seeing some furniture pics?
  2. Took me a while to get my head around burrs.... Take some pics of the ones you've found and put them on this thread.
  3. Not sure but one company contacted me and it sounds cheap for the wood i.e. 38 E per cubic meter but then it would cost another 38 E to bring over so 76 E which going to be around £60-00. I've worked out it costs me £40-00/£50-00 to split and dry a cubic meter (as long as I can get the wood easily/cheaply). I think if you want to sell all year round increase your storage area and stockpile more.
  4. I have a 390 and found that I go to clean the air filter and there's hardly anything there to clean! On the 880 there is this problem though and it has already been discussed before in length. But fitting all the additional foam inserts etc I found seemed to suck a bit of power from the saw. I like the look of the air filters on the new MS261 http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/chainsaws/18026-ms-261-reveiw.html I bit they keep all the dust out.
  5. He's certainly focused on his job !
  6. Unless all you're doing is light pruning you'll have to buy a 200t as well. I have the ground variety i.e. 192 and it's a good little saw for carving but struggles with anything over 8" or so
  7. Some loverly stuff there... So smooth and shiny I want to pick it up and touch it !
  8. Cracking piece of wood and personally I like the bark on the legs. It's a bit different and goes with the top. I'm liking the spaulting though. Very nice indeedy
  9. Count me in for an actual clip round the ear and the knife!
  10. Always worth trying a new spark plug before anything else even if you see that there is a spark there and the plug looks clean.
  11. Not really.... You're not making a lot of sense?
  12. Why is that rubbish?? There are hundreds of thousands of big trees where I live.
  13. There's plenty of big old beeches out there... why does it matter taking this one down whether it's healthy or not Surely it's the deforestation in other countries that we should be worrying about.
  14. That looks insanely dangerous But he still has all his fingers though....
  15. Great pics and rather you than me that must of been absolutely stinkin' !!
  16. That's pretty bad... and very funny!
  17. Not a lot of work down there....
  18. Before you commit yourself I would try and get some experience of working with a tree surgery team to make sure you like the job. If you still like the idea then you could do your CS30/CS31. Still liking it then do the climbing but my advice try before you buy
  19. This year will be £100 mixed hardwood this year, £120-00 just oak, £90 mixed all per cubic meter delivered. Half the people who call don't order and complain about the price but still sold 300 cubic meters before Christmas (sold out). Stick to your guns and prices!
  20. Oh I see this is a rim and sprocket set up rather than a spur sprocket... That said a normal spur sprocket on the 200t seems to last a hell of a long time before in needs replacing...
  21. It's not listed mainly I think because the manufacturers don't want to confuse people i.e. if both were listed everyone would be asking 'which one do I need?'. Much easier for them to just list the one.
  22. Correction he will package them in his used lucky thong for the winner!!
  23. Mick looks like I won the hitchclimber for £24-00 from Tree Cutter Stu can you PM me what do I do next - send him the cheque or you? Cheers
  24. Oregon part number 22273 and easy to get. Just PM Jonsie and ask him for it.
  25. A genuine Stihl sprocket is only a couple quid more than this though....
